First things first: Thanks to ALL people involved in anyway with this project. It really means a lot. I'm sure, like many, I ended up here after my 50th+ "mmo comparable to EQ classic" google of desperation at 2 AM after talking about the "good ol' days" with a old EQ buddy. But, even in the face of all that I am still sooo glad that I finally found this. Stoked to be a part of it!

I should be in the Human area sometime tonight if ya feel like saying Hi. Not sure what my name will be yet but I will update this post when I log in.

I've never understood why people pick Human as a race in any MMO.
Why would you play a human in a fantasy game when you already are one IRL?

Mainly to avoid the travel. My friends started yesterday as two humans, I wanted to roll highelf. Oh well, I heard it wouldn't matter too much later in the game

Depends on their racial abilities, but I generally stick to something else.
Like in DAoC Midgard was my favorite because them, and Hib had the most diverse + interesting looking races.

In EQ Iksar was/is favorite followed closely by DE.
