Hey,
I'm the leader of the Explorers of Norrath guild and tonight we are planning on visiting Cazic Thule. We are still a pretty young guild so I am inviting anyone else who is or is not guilded to come along. Send me, Hooka, a tell in-game if you would like to attend as I have a list of the class/lvl of the attendees so far and will try to put everyone in the group that will best suit them. So far I have about 10 people in the guild who have told me they will come, all around lvl 25-34. I should be on around 4-5 EST and I am thinking we will get going around 7-9EST, just depending on when enough people are on to get the first group going.
And of course, this is a good time for people in 25-35 level range to check out the guild! We are recuiting!!!

I might come on by on my 30 monk, depending on the timing of my night

You know there's a guild section right here on the forums.

Why would he use the guild section to invite people to an open raid? That'd be like TMO using the guild section to announce Sev is FFA.

Reading comprehension is fun.

You mean why use the guild section to promote his guild?

Bump for a good guy trying to get something going for the lower level (read: casual) players. I won't be able to attend because the hours I play right now pretty much suck. Good luck to you guys though!

Your ability to edit in punctuation where none existed to take a statement out of context is truly stunning.
More free bumps for what seems like a great idea.

Dude did nothing wrong. He can promote his guild AND promote a public leveling event.
Don't see the BFD.
Listen, here's the thing. I give Hooka incredible respect for doing this, and I'm glad to be one of the first members. That said, EQ is not easy, and neither is our experiment. Hell, a warden camp the other night in Guk resulted in fantastic xp, until a Tal Shaman killed me on the pull, broke Hooka's mezz and managed to wipe group. Much dying proceeded during the CR when my invis stopped working.
TLDR: There's other zones besides Unrest. Go to them, we are.

I heard it failed pretty badly.
I'd say maybe 10% of the actual playerbase reads these forums, so it might take a bit more work to get things going.
DON'T GIVE UP, HOOKA!
I ended up dry humping with the Bee Gees in SK killing Aviaks. Good times all around.

It actually went alright for a couple hours. We started off with maybe 10 players, 40% of which were healers. So we had two groups and made it to the second floor to the top of the pyramid. Before we got to the top we had an overpull which resulted in maybe four deaths, but we had a cleric there for rezzes. However the main tank and her friend from another guild who came along decided to leave the group after the death without any notice. So it was all downhill from than. Prolly would have made it to the top if we didnt have people just leave midway.
I'm thinking going to play something in the future, might post about it on the forums.
