New to P99 needs help.

Hey just rolled up today on p99 after off and on since the early 00's on live :D. However i need some help in terms of where to find gear upgrades/coin spots because this is my first toon here and i have no way of twinking my toon or anything so need some tips!

Rolled a Wood Elf Ranger, for a bit of flavor. So naturally im hanging out in the faydark, ive managed to do enough mail quests to get a little bit of banded armor but im at a loss of where to find A) a magical weapon and B) and upgraded weapon not worth crap anyway thats 1hs and has decent dps and C) isnt ridiculously overpriced.

With C i know its a matter of supply and demand, i just dont have any plat anymore and its slow going making platinum now. Suggestions on an upgrade from my starter sword?

You could save up Orc Belts and sell them off for something like an Ebony Bladed Sword for 50pp.

CB belts drops very often from orc, sell them at 1pp each. Easiest money for u.

There are many cheap lowbie weps for sale at EC, just save up some money and head there when u can.

Or you can head over to EC early and farm spiderling silks. Highly in demand.

silver swiftblade is best till level 17 though.

Actually the Sword of Skyfire is much better to use till 10th, what with the 20 point damage cap until then.

I never really paid much attention to the low levels because they came so fast.


by the time i capped all the different weapon skills i was a few blues from dinging.

Sister's Camp in Lfay. I made a couple hundred plat goin lvl 12-17 there. They all drop bronze weapons and its a short run to the rangers to sell. Easy spawn to break even as a ranger.

Spider silk goes for 20pp a stack.

Bonechips can go for 5pp a stack.

i'm only lvl 21 but ive nickled and dimed my way into some mediocre gear.

i do know SoSF is a sweet 1hs for a ranger for awhile, for making money i would gather as much spiderling silk & head to EC to sell for 20pp a stack, i know this may be abit out there but i myself was in Gfay trying to get faction up by doing the Elf warrior quest as a DE, maybe other evil race players do the same, it take bat fur,ruined wolf pelt, bone chip & a spiderling eye hopefully someone else will want to grab on that

np envino i believe it is this (http://wiki.project1999.org/index.php/Emerald_Warriors%27_Items), it helps gain faction with vendors in Gfay & also the guards but i am having a issue with vendors still since i went from dub to kindly with guards but still am dub with vendors >.> hopefully i can found out what the issue is
