before i hit extract because i always seem to mess up on updates. do i just extract to resources folder on desktop then move it back into the eq directory?

I always just double-click the downloaded zip file, then pkzip or whatever it is that people use nowadays pops up and shows me the contents of the file, then I highlight and drag the stuff over into my p99 directory.

I extract everything into my eq folder besides the resource folder. I then click on the new resource and drag that file into my original resource folder.
