The only illusion that does anything other than just modify your race and faction is troll illusion. Which has +1 regen

On a related note, I'm still trying to find documentation on whether or not Ogre illusion ever gave frontal stun immunity, and if so, when.

But yeah, any large race illusion gives you Slam. Other than that, Troll is really the only useful racial illusion outside of faction, size, and vision mods. The other non-race illusions have obvious and varied benefits.

Yeah I wish since my troll warrior on live servers had the illusion human crown.
Vision was the main change & of course size. And I kept missing the dark elf illusion mask! First in Lower Guk, then in the lotto thing they had. Argh! I wanted that mask! hah

He may be referring to the non-racial illusions.

Air Elemental = Levitate
Fire Elemental = DS
Water Elemental = Enduring Breath
Drybone Skeleton = 25 Fire Resist

etc.

Trolls get 1 hp regen
Iksars look seksy
Large races get slam
Ogres get ... Frontal stun immunity? (not actually sure here)
Air illusion gets lev
Water illusion gets EB
Earth illusion gets STR
Fire illusion gets DS
Dry bone skeleton gets FR
Werewolf illusion gets haste and atk
Spirit wolf illusion gets atk and CR

I'm pretty dang sure you can slam in ogre/troll/barb illusion, unless they changed it...

You have you assign a combat hotkey to Slam once you are in Troll/Barb/Ogre form, but I can assure you I have Slam in my hotkeys and I use it regularly when I'm in Troll form desperate for regen.
