There is a dead-real site though, check out Rapture Ready for some really scary people with terrifying views. Many of them look forward to and actively hope for nuclear annihilation, pandemics, plagues etc.

Google Fairhaven Baptist Church Chesterton Indiana and read the articles about them. Just another extremist church up north where I am from. They physically abused children that were part of the congregation, making them drink water until they vomited and pissed themselves. Disturbing read.
