What program do you guys use to actually stream that stuff? Does Twitch provide one or ?

Was looking into using it for some of the stuff I do, if anyone has a better idea how it works.

Xfire is a good one to use if people don't like twitch. I've used it in the past with eq and it worked pretty good.

I've been using fraps lately but recording in 1080p even at 30 fps is consuming upwards of 40 GB of disk space for a 15-20 minute video.. the guys using twitch have to be using something else because they record and stream hours of gameplay at a time.

(Obviously I compress those fraps videos later)

I know on xfire it has two options. You can record it and then post it, and it will eat your space, or just do it live and no space is used up. It was pretty nice with in game activation to toggle on or off. I've been able to do it for any game I've played.

It's also based on your bandwidth when you want play it live. You can select lower grade to high to cut down on the lag with it.

XSplit is pretty much the streaming software of choice. It hooks up with any of the popular streaming services. It costs money to stream in a good quality but the free version works.

Give PlayClaw a shot for recording videos. It is able to compress on the fly. 10 minutes 1080p get saved around 5-10GB.

I've been using Xsplitbroadcaster, its available on twitch.tv for free. I know the quality was horrible but I changed settings to 1080p so should b a lott better. I'm gona be streaming again today. Nice to kno Rogean was watching hahaha.

I love this, streamed it on my phone. Was watching the fear raid and my brother just happens to be in your guild. Was just really cool and coincidental and felt kinda like spying. Also, I have a 26 druid and was cool to get a glimpse at a higher level dru raid roll. Pretty cool watching you park the adds until the chanter gets to them.

Flash Media Encoder (FME), is another route to stream... This was used in the olden days, but still a good method if you have the materials and know how.

Enjoyed the stream last night. I actually left the stream going while sleeping. The leader has a very pleasing voice, I did watch Tunnas run into the wall at church for a good 10 mins

When i've used Twitch.tv in the past, I was able to hook up Wirecast Desktop Presenter, which allowed me to stay fullscreen on my gaming pc (with a system tray icon broadcasting locally) and then use my laptop to grab the stream and handle the encoding/streaming to the web. This ends up helping tremendously in getting a nice video thumbnail, as well as enabling you to view the broadcast chat and start/stop the stream from a second pc. Just my 2cp on the technical details of the stream, but i'm loving your channel.

Twitch only stores a certain amount of data on their servers after the limit is reached it removes the footage starting with the oldest. Tunnas should still have the footage saved on his computer if he saves it he can upload it somewhere and post a link.

Just FYI Tunnas, you can enable "save forever" on videos stored on Twitch. Go to the video you want to save, click the little gear icon, and click save forever. That will make sure it never gets bumped off the list by new videos.

The apps never seem to function correctly unless the streamer is partnered with twitch/jtv. I don't know why, but I've seen some go from absolutely unwatchable on the app to near perfect after the streamer gets partnered.
