A Brave New World awaits you. Fresh virgin territory to stake your claim on, raid targets with no varriance, you kill them when YOU want to.
XP bonus higher then on blue99 to get you and your guildmates started off right.
Where? On red99, the project99 pvp server. Add a whole new level of immersion to your game. No more waiting in lines for camps (unless you want to), no more standing aside and letting guild X,Y,or Z "have their shot" at a raid mob before you (unless you want to).
More player freedom, players make the rules, not rotations not guide/GM's raid rules, not random varriance.
The cheaters, trainers, and hackers have all been baned or run off to their new little tz/vz server where they can MQ it up in peace.
What is left is a very classic community over on red, true EQ fans. All that is missing is MORE true EQ fans, just like YOU.
I am sure Nihilum would support and help out any guild that would like to reroll over on red, to help you get up to speed and get ready for the Kunark expansion release due out this summer.
We want YOU to the fresh project99 red server!

There you go folks, its basically a fresh and open server, ripe for your guild to move over an mass and do all that content that is denied you currently because of TMO.
Come over, level up together with our boosted xp and experience classic raid content like you always wanted. Talk it over with your guild members, a move might be just the thing to get them excited again.

Ya, I've posted a few of these type of posts when Ive read about all the poopsocking problems on blue.
And yes, it is sad that our population dropped so low after people from the server were so upset with dying in game, that they made it their number one priority to troll the server and the forum until they made both look unappealing for everyone. Now we have to recruit to the server, or watch it die.
See the clown abudhabi above, you may remember him as Cast or tsaC from the forums. This is the tears he shed and why he hates our server so:
http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=57018
With kunark coming soon, it will level the playing field considerably.
So we welcome new folks, especially those discontent with the raid scene.

The above poster (Cast) has been trolling the server for months because his in game characters were deleted by GMs for gross cheating, etc.
red99 is run by the same reliable folks that run blue99. The server is not going anywhere:

[16:05] <&Rogean> yea not sure what they got used to on vztz but we don't wipe anything here
[16:05] <&Rogean> to do so would set the precedent that peoples' characters aren't safe from vanishing, which is bad for any server
[16:06] <&Rogean> will absolutely never happen
[16:06] <&Rogean> feel free to copy that and paste it in threads on the forums
Server is ready for guilds to move over and experience the raid scene that cannot participate in on blue. Its a clean slate, a fresh start for any guild that wants to come over and do the content.

Would be cool if there was a 1 time character copy or transfer prior to kunark where character levels were set to 50 and only classic gear was kept.

Its not the case.
The low lifes couldn't make it on red, and have all but evaporated.
We welcome new players, and are looking to restore red to what it was meant to be: an EQ server with everything thats fun about EQ, and also with pvp. Rather than an FPS with elves and swords like pvp boxes of the past.

wow. epic thread.

I would do it in a heartbeat. Unfortunately I am a casual player that won't be leveling up a red anytime soo, or ever.

Push to get rogean to allow char copies or transfers to red prior to kunark. I think char copies would be great being that there are already tons of level 50s on red that are inactive. It would hardly push things off balance if they set transferred character levels back to 50 and only allowed classic (pre-kunark) items to be moved over.
It would be a pain in the arse to level there now with so few people, even with exp scaling from 150% to 50% 1-50. Would needa group from the jump.

I'd be interested in joining the Red99... but I don't want to completely start over again, nor do I want to trade / sell any of my Blue99 items/pp for stuff on Red. If any guilds or individuals over there on Red would like to donate a little pp, items, or time for me to get a little jumpstart, I'd be happy to start playing over there a bit to make some new friends and enjoy a more friendly server. PM me or look for me in game if you'd like to talk about it. Any help would be very appreciated. Blue99 just isn't the same as it used to be.. I've started over several times on the server just to enjoy the fun things and meet new groups of players.

Lots of people are thinking that same way Swinger. Any level 50 on red99 will give you buffs and throw some plat and/or noob items they got rotting in their bank your way I am sure. If player see you trying in game, taking the initiative, they will go out of their way to help you. And yes there are other low level people running round leveling up too, just got to reach out to them like on any server.
Dont forget red99 currently has a 50 to 100 percent xp bonus going on to help catch people up for Kunark that is due to come out next. (starts at 100 percent at level 1 and tapers off to 50 percent at level 50) Makes the grind a little less painful.
Like I said in another thread and this will suprise a lot of folks: Most of the players on red are MORE friendly then on blue, because on red relationships are just that much more important. All the true anti-social "sterotypical" red players have been run off the server by the classic EQ players. You can spot them a mile away on the forums , they are the ones drentched in bitterness and rage.
The classic EQ fans are not on the forums, they are in game playing/loving the game.
Join them today.

I just started up on red99 myself.
The server population may be at an all-time low, but it still has great potential. Red99 is still the only thing remotely close to a classic PvP server. It's stable, reasonably bug-free, and above all it's reliable. You can invest time into your character knowing that the server will be in good shape in the future. All it needs it an influx of fresh faces. With Kunark on the horizon I can't help but feel optimistic.

Trolling guild discussion threads = forum bans.
Stop doing it.

A new guild has formed up on the server specifically aimed at grouping newer players together and leveling together. Many vets are regularly donating items to the officers to distrubute and are doing a lot of drive by buffage to the xp groups in crushbone/unrest,etc. Check it out soon.
