I had a Brazen Brass Kilij given back to me one time in Highkeep back in the day.

Accidentally gave it to a necro pet while trying to switch weapons (derp), a junior guide came along and told the necro to kill the pet, then scratched his head. It was elevated to a senior guide, who (rightly) couldn't understand why the junior guide had said to do that... and just handed me a replacement. Only time I think I ever got anything out of Verant/SOE :D

I was told today when my petition was answered that I am probably pretty much @#$% out of luck and a 4 month or potentially indefinite wait is in store for me, just give up and go do the quest again and forget any hope of a reimbursement or resolution.

Hard pill to swallow.

I'm waiting on an ip exemption petition. Been a couple weeks now. Not sure how long I should be waiting, but my room mate I want to play with already passed my 27 up. Annoying thing is I'm not sure if they'll even do it. We've had a lot of eq players at this address and I'm sure there are already plenty of exceptions.

I remember that one time where I wasn't paying or contributing anything of any worth to something and I asked for customer service, volunteers always been really eager to drop everything to help me restore my pixel in exchange for absolutely nothing short of barely two letter tell worth of gratitude.

Especially after all the threads that constantly pop up complaining that the free service they provide isn't prompt/good enough for my non contributing ass, it really helped motivate them to give me and the other 900 people better free service, gotta keep them feeling like they can improve on that thing that we don't pay them money or any form of appreciation for.

And don't forget all those people who are eager and willing to do the job for them, just BEGGING to do it better so that the server they all play on can actually add and retain players. Oops, actually that one is true and not being a gigantic douchebag. Must have gotten past my earnestness filter.

For customer service that falls within even a two to three week period, i would happily pay $50 a month for this game, it is excellent, and the people are amazing... the Guides are so fast to respond, it makes SoE customer service look like a joke left on crumpled paper on the ground.

What I have come to realize is this - our poor GM's are very stretched and we have to be as understanding as we can

Yes it sucks, my turn in got ruined, but a super nice person named Mousey and a Druid (i am so sorry, i forget your name...) helped me get things to re-do my quest, though this time, I am waiting until after an update so blown turn ins don't ruin my turn in again, thanks to more forum research and advice from previous players

Amelinda, Rogean, Nilblog and everyone... I've scoured the forums and seen what you guys do now, and how you get treated. You deserve commendation, not complaints. Yeah, it's a hard pill to swallow, but I am swallowing it because
the massive amounts of fun I am having far outweighs anything negative.

Thank you for the server, and for all the work you guys put in selflessly so that so many ppl can have fun.

I have a reimbursement request for a box of abu kar that's like 3 months old. Meanwhile, when I was new to this server, I got my lambent bracers reimbursed in a few days. I think the difference was the former item just poofed in a trade, while the latter poofed because of a malfunctioning quest NPC. If it's a content-related issue then they reimburse fairly quickly (quicker than Sony ever did), if it's some random glitch that can't really be fixed, they're a lot slower to respond. I don't think it's the devs' fault, they're understaffed and it's hard to find people to trust with the ability to summon items. They're also occupied with Velious and all that. So all you can do is bump your petition and hope they find the time to respond.

I believe the turn-in bug in question occurs just like the trade bug... when you are right on the edge of the functional "trade zone," one person's trade window opens and then immediately shuts due to the other person or NPC's not activating due to the funny (long) range. Then the items on your cursor are gone to no-man's-land until you zone or re-log, or forever in the case of an NPC.

Wow, played a lot of EQ back in the day and used to think I knew a lot but I keep learning tons of new things the more I play here...

Thank you Slave, you have lowered my paranoia on turn ins. I will always log and refresh client when doing a turn in from now on, cause I know about the trade bug making you have to log or zone, but had no idea it affected NPC hand ins. So basically, be as close to the NPC as possible for turn ins?
