Bring back forum tagging...

Hi there everyone,

In light of recent polls to advance our enjoyment of P99, I'd like to put forward the idea that tagging in the forums was both fun and mostly friendly. I am totally convinced of the power of these polls to achieve positive change on P99 and if there's an overwhelming majority of "Yes" votes I am confident that the moderators here will reinstate them.

So lets all convince them, YOUR VOTE COUNTS (so much)!

I have to admit, keeping trolls in the tags would be a nice addition. Plus they were good for some laughs. If you don't want everything to be taggable, could you enable it only in RNF?

Only a handful of you seem capable of posting complete sentences, anyway. Is it just the anonymity you prefer? I just never saw the appeal, I guess.

For me, I like that you only have 25 letters and spaces to work with when tagging, so trolling becomes a sort of artform instead of simply machinegunning insults like the usual posts in Rants n Flames.

You see them all over the place on blogs. On one level you're tagging to say what the post is about (in this case: forum tags, bring, back, poll).

On another level they're a bit of fun and can actually be better than the content of the thread itself. They never did any harm, and they should be returned I reckon! ;)

Sometimes I read a few first posts, then skipped the rest of the thread to the tags. They helped me know what to spot for.

Always remember "young mom's basement" appearing on about 90% of forum tags, no idea who first put it up but it was funny.

They were at the base of the page so there was no real requirement to read them, it was just a bit of fun :)

I figure if the mighty Enroth can consolidate the army of stickies he might be able to put the tags back in? ;)
