EQemu not working?

A) There was /is something wrong with global login server. Give it a few tries and it may let you in.

B) Project 1999 servers (globally - client, wiki, forum) were unresponsive for about twenty minutes.

C) The error message(s) [including 787 xml file] from EQEMU program are false positives as long as the server is working.


D) Why you still using EQEMU and not running the client directly?

It's up and running now.

If you mean the client (launcher) I don't like launchers, they ALWAYS break on my after a patch day no matter what game. I click Eqgame.exe shortcut as the old method and it loads straight to log-in screen. Type my details -- bit of a pause get told it can't reach a connection.

Also noticed that the EQEmulator site isn't actually working either.

Having the same issue. The forums/site etc are running extremely slow, and when I log in to the game through Launcher or directly, am told connection cannot be reached after putting in my p/w and waiting.

Well from what I can gather, this isn't a P99 problem.. it's an EQemu problem. Nothing much we can do just sit here and wait it out or go and do other stuff :)

Sorry haven't been watching the forums recently. Have you tried using the quick connect? perhaps try to bypass the server select... failing that double check your eqhost file ( I think thats what It's called? )

Well it's weird because now when i get logged in there aren't any servers on the server select screen at all and quick connect won't work, either

Only thing I know to suggest is download duxa's installer and see what options that brings, failing that a fresh install shouldnt take that long!

Unless P99 websites are hosted by EQEMU then how is it strictly an EQEMU issue?

Just got on using the "quick connect" button to skip server select.

P99website has nothing to do with this issue, EQemu is basically what provides you with the server list and allows you to connect to this list.

Heres my theory : Sony have Hijacked the server and are bringing it down for patching, once it's back up we will have Veil of alaris, mercenaries, Pok books and the dreaded mines of glooming deep.

Veil of alaris - latest expansion ( like number 18 or something )
Mercenaries - npcs you can hire that act like party members, cleric, tank, rogue, cast etc
Pok books - a zone full of books you click on to teleport to the zone its linked to
Mines of gloomindeep - a tutorial zone that sony thought would be a cool idea to put in with lots of gay Equips and killed all the noobs zones.

Now it lets me log in and i go back to the same blank server select screen but no servers still.....

....I don't know what else to do. I came to P99 to see the endgame and the raids i didn't get to do on live. I got my toon to level 53 and was about to start applying to raid guilds. And this happens. Any other suggestions?

If it's happening to a lot of us, it's probably not your install...chances are it's something with the login server.

The only time I ever had issues with not seeing servers was when I was using a rather unstable internet connection provided by my apartment complex. Once I upgrade from that I never had issues again. So if you have crappy internet, maybe that's the cause.

Or chances are let the powers that be restart the login server instances and you'll be back in business. Heck, it might even iron things out itself if the issue is slow internetz at the data center.

I did have a crappy router until i bought my new one last week. Works wonderfully now. Now today has been rather disheartening. Maybe i'll go rent a movie. lol =-)

Urban how can the issue not be related between P99 sites and EQMU? You said yourself the website(s) were responding slow in the same authoring post where you brought up this issue.

How coincidental that this happens at the same time?

EDIT: Apparently you edited your original post to exclude your comments about slow website.

You should have left it because you're obviously not the only one experiencing it and it's a relevant issue that's happening at the same time as the main login problem.
