Hello, I'm new, obviously. I'm very sorry for asking, I DID try looking through the forums but I couldn't seem to find an answer to my question.

Are the original character models the only ones supported in p99? I'm not talking about the luclin models, the ones that came later. The better looking/textured character models. Under the options it seems to allow me to turn everything on, but when I get in game they look like the old ones? I won't mind playing it this way, I was just wondering if I was doing something wrong.

Not really sure what you mean. There are only 2 models that I know of - the original ones, and the Luclin ones. Only classic/original models are available on Project1999, and it will remain that way.

I believe they came with Velious (hence the velioustexture setting in the eqclient.ini).

oooh nevermind, I was mistaken. >< it is luclin models I'm thinking of, sorry for wasting yalls time. It's obviously been a while for me. :P

I have to wonder though, why are people so against luclin models? Assuming they were implimented, couldn't you just turn them off if you didn't want to see them?

It hated the idea of what i saw on my screen not being the same as what someone else was seeing.

If i got a super pimp robe and it looked super pimp (ie. robe of the whistling fists for my monk) and then someone with luclin graphics saw it and it looked shit. That'd annoy me! (i'm vain of course).
