So I spent the last couple hours trying to get this to work. I followed everything in the set up guide. But at the log in screen when I try to log in it says "log in to the server" and it freezes my cpu. Any help?

1. might use EQEmuLauncher --> http://moestaverne.com/module/projects/EQEmuLauncher
2. does it really freeze or just for some seconds or a minute or so? try to wait up to 3 minutes if you get back to login-screen
3. maybe some other reason EQ cannot connect to the login server (dns problems, firewall, etc etc)

It froze again I waited awhile this time.
I get to the log in screen where it says "station name and password" Not sure what I put into there.
And under server by the log in button it just says "SERVER NAME"

what kind of EQ client are you using?
can you make screenshots of this station login thingy too?

I followed the directions found here. Exactly.
http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=2651
I don't know how to locate screenshots after I take them on my cpu. But it the menu is the log in screen for EQ. Where it requires you enter your station name and password.
For the EQEmulauncher... what folder path and exe path do I put in when it prompts me?

check Comments: how to install
==================================
still if you changed the eqhost.txt, i dont think the launcher will fix the problem. this sounds like the loginserver cannot be reached, due to DNS problems or whatever..
Try using the EQEmuLauncher, if it doesnt work, try this:

I got the EQEmulauncher to work but it brings me to the account log in screen just like the other way.
What station name do I put in there?

What station name do I put in there?
1. you go to http://www.eqemulator.org/ and register an FORUM account.
2. you log in with that forum account.
3. you visit this site http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/profile.php?do=loginserver
4. you create a new LS Account (Login Server Account)
then you use that account to login in everquest :)
tho, if the login is incorrect, you should get an db error that the password is wrong..
did you try out what rogean mentioned in the eqemulator forum?
(the link i posted previously: http://www.eqemulator.org/forums/showthread.php?t=31203 )
try this probably..
if you hit Login and it freezes and hits you back to the start screen, that means the login server could not be reached.. this can have many reasons

I had done the LS account thing already.
I followed what Rogean posted on the eqemulator forum like you suggested and logged in with the LS account info and it worked!
Thank you! I am now ingame as a level 1 gnome wizard named Fiyah.

well yes, anything inpolite/rude/racism or offensive in any other way will get renamed by the Guides/GMs.

There's weed related names all over this server. If you want to be original - don't.
