1) Does JBoots clicky work indoors? as a near max level, Sebilis/Charasis/Chardok/Hole are all indoor zones. if it doesn't, i think im going to stick
with SoW Pots because the 10p per cast is worth it to run faster imo, plus
the effect is longer than jboots.
2.) is Silken whip of Ensnaring really better than a Yak proccer?
for some reason i really hate using the whip as a tank, But the Yak club
is ugly, and i've yet to get the yak scimitar. so would it look odd for a near max war to use a SSOY still? im using Sarnak hammer + SSOY usually. is the Bloodfire any good?
3.) Any non-caster Melees here ever escape from a group that was about to bite the dust using the Worker Sledgemallet?
4.) i've heard Rooted mobs always aggro the closest person to them. So why don't
more people root mobs that can potentially be rooted and have the tank stand
as close as he can? Aggro problem solved?
5.) Is the Wurmslayer not a good choice for the Soloing Paladin and Shadowknight?
seems like it would be very slow even with haste item + chanter haste.
6.) How often does one have to worry bout that dragon in timorous deep near the fire pots? was going to frequent there more often.

1) doesn't work indoors, however depending on what you're doing, the instant click is well worth it. I have sow pots on my cleric and jboots on my chanter since the chanter is usually running from stuff.
2.) If procs are all you care about and you don't might the reduction in dps, a yak club and yak sword will proc at the same proc/minute rate. I grouped with a warrior in seb crypt using a bloodfire and it was unimpressive. The stun is what you want. I don't know about the whip, but snare sure is handy with the whole low health flee thing.
4.) This does happen. I think it is just an annoying burden on the rooter, and some people who aren't the tank still stand too close. A lot of times just more work than is needed since tanks usually know how to hold agro here.
6.) It is dead before it can hurt anyone at firepots.

1) All movement speed buffs do not work indoors. This includes SoW, Selos, Jboots.
2) Yak proc is awesome because it stuns. Stun is a lot of aggro. People may use SWoE over SSOY because of the higher DPS, but I'd imagine sarnak hammer + SSOY should be decent aggro if your dex is decent. Bloodfire is crap for aggro from what I've heard.
3) I have never personally escaped from danger from a lucky OT hammer proc. But I'm a bard, so I can control situations well and make them safer and then use OT hammer to gate.
4) If root breaks and the mob has higher aggro on someone outside melee, he'll run over and start wacking on him, then the tank has to reposition. Also, if the mob is in flee range he'll tear off down the hallway to aggro his friends because if he's rooted, he's not snared. At this time, root and snare do not stack.
5) I think its just that most knights have better weapons. 2HS is the best for DPS, so knights don't use WS for DPS. 1HS have faster weapons that apply the damage bonus more often. But the Wurmslayer is still a decent weapon imo. Its more that the server has a surplus of items for the population than the wurmslayer is bad.
6) Faydedar is pulled within 15 minutes of spawning every week because he is needed for epics. Note you can no longer bind at firepots, and never will be able to again on this server.

2.) is the Bloodfire any good?
3.) Any non-caster Melees here ever escape from a group that was about to bite the dust using the Worker Sledgemallet?
.
2.) No, awful for aggro
3.) No doubt :). definitely used it a few times to escape sebilis certain-death situations. obviously it sort of strands you in OT unless you have a port-pot or a leatherfoot hat.

Jboots do not work in doors. You can click them before going into an indoor zone and get 18 minutes of jboot speed, or click a sow potion and get ~30 mins of sow speed.
2.) is Silken whip of Ensnaring really better than a Yak proccer?
for some reason i really hate using the whip as a tank, But the Yak club

Depends on the situation. It is definitely a better ratio than the 9/24 yak club, and the proc could be situationally better if you don't have a snare class in group. There is some evidence that Yak procs are more frequent than other weapons, and as a warrior you aren't usually looking to be a dps class but an aggro generating class. Choose appropriately.
3.) Any non-caster Melees here ever escape from a group that was about to bite the dust using the Worker Sledgemallet?
It can work, if you are lucky. Riposte discipline can provide those extra swings before death. A Leatherfoot Raider's Skull Cap, Vial of Swirling Smoke, or Lizard Blood Potion are more reliable get out of jail free cards.
4.) i've heard Rooted mobs always aggro the closest person to them. So why don't
more people root mobs that can potentially be rooted and have the tank stand
as close as he can? Aggro problem solved?
You are correct and some people are just awful players.
5.) Is the Wurmslayer not a good choice for the Soloing Paladin and Shadowknight?
seems like it would be very slow even with haste item + chanter haste.
I would imagine it is decent.
6.) How often does one have to worry bout that dragon in timorous deep near the fire pots? was going to frequent there more often.
Hardly never. He is usually pulled within 1-5 minutes of spawning and doesn't really bother people at the firepots.

Root doesn't hold when people are casting damaging spells on a mob. If it's dot's only then it's chances of sticking and staying are more. But usually there is some sort of a spell caster using DD's on the mobs. I could be mistaken but maybe even weapon procs act as if they were DD's and break root.
When I solo as a Wizard I am lucky to get two nukes off on a mob before root wears off. So the chances of root actually sticking through the entirety of the fight are slim. Not to mention most people don't pay attention and get close to the mob to DPS it and get damage taken themselves.
Then there is always the risk of rooting a hard hitting mob next to your cleric, or a caster and instantly causing major problems.
Root by in large has it's uses. Especially for ill-equipped groups just trying to ghetto through a camp without a tank. But to me it makes more sense just attuning yourself to the word aggro and doing everything you can within those bounds. I know Warriors are a little bit hindered in the aggro department, but that will change with better weapons and Velious expansion.

As people already mentioned neither works indoors. While you get quite a bit of SoW hits for the cost of jboots you should also consider some of the other advantages of jboots over pots.
1. JBoots take up just one inventory slot. If you have 5 SoW pots you have lost 5 spaces.
2. JBoots are instant click, so if a mob is about to clean your clock while you have no speed effect on, you don't have to try to cast SoW while you are getting your face beat in.
3. JBoots are instant click, so it makes a great clicky item to counteract mob who like to dispell. Useful for outdoor raids and regular mobs
4. I may be wrong about this one but I think the wiki is incorrect about SoW duration. I think at lower level iit lasts a significantly shorter length of time.
I have JBoots on my toons and keep one or two SoW pots on them incase I really need to get somewhere faster.
3.) Any non-caster Melees here ever escape from a group that was about to bite the dust using the Worker Sledgemallet?
I'm sure it has happened but don't count on it as an escape plan.
4.) i've heard Rooted mobs always aggro the closest person to them. So why don't

Some groups do this but consider only one tank can root so you are generally putting some more work/mana loss on other classes. Roots can be resisted, some people stand too close, and they can break so you could be putting in more work for not much more benefit. On my wizard when I help lower level people out I root mobs and stand closer.
5.) Is the Wurmslayer not a good choice for the Soloing Paladin and Shadowknight?

It is an alright weapon. Slow harder hitting weapons can be good for mobs were you want to avoid riposte.
6.) How often does one have to worry bout that dragon in timorous deep near the fire pots? was going to frequent there more often.
Rarely an issue.
