Went down on me last night while omw to get my ragebringer MQ'd. Tonight I gave the guy my 40k, headed to Kith, and it went down again. Worst timing ever.

It isn't a matter of money. Looking through the resent Server Chat threads. This is a programming issue and it has him more frustrated than we are when we can't log in.

That block messages just means your toon is LD and is waiting for it to clear, as boxing isn't allowed.

O God no roll back, i finally got my Shimmering pearl off EoV today and my corpse with all the mats for Windstriker is on isle 4 in sky lol. Korrath...no! *smacks Korrath with news paper* btw when server is up and i am on, WTB Necro and wizard for corpse summon to isle 1 and port up to sky!

Good news 'least (as I've noticed) is when the server(s) go on the frits, they are immediately showing the server status as "Down" :-D AKA no slow, painful meltdown where the population counts downward.

Does this mean that the elusive logic crashing err introduced in the past few months been corrected and laid to rest?! (perhaps so!)

P.S. Both BLUE & RED servers being offline at the same time is a bit odd, aye? (data center troubles of sort?)

you got a point, but how easy would it be to have a serverwide message saying " we are now taking the servers down for reason X" ?
seems silly to not do that much and leave people guessing....

There's no way of telling if that what they are actually doing because they definitely would have a warning message. Now they will have more problems if people were in unsafe places and ended up dying they will have to give people rezzes. Unless however they are doing a rollback which would fix a lot of problems of people losing their items. I think Bonus exp for the problem would be a good idea too if they do end up doing a rollback for the server.

I think there's enough mutual respect between the devs and the playerbase that they wouldn't pull down the server in the middle of the night without saying anything. My whole group was left in a pretty bad spot, and I know we aren't alone in that.
