Hey all, might want to get back into the swing of things. Im leaning to starting over from my druid. Its been quite awhile since I last left and I looked in the forums a bit but didn't find anything real recent, so whats needed? Monks and shamans seem to be large in population, druids are near useless except for ports, and I am not quite sure if I would have the time for a hybrid. Any suggestions?

Druids/Rangers recently became more popular due to the retarded sow-speed mob flee.
Snare FTW!

If you plan to make it past 30. Tanks are usually what I end up looking for.

I dont know about tanking, I have never touched that area before playing any other mmo, grouping I remember was easy for them since they are always needed, plus two of the three main tanking classes carry that heavy exp penalty.

Nothing is more rewarding than being a great tank or great healer imo. Obviously you need dps to burn mobs down. But I think the game is just boring if you arent tanking or pulling

I suggest choosing another class than druid because you obviously lack the comprehension of how druids can be utilized and what some are capable of.
First of all you need to make up your mind if you care for melee/tanking or casting.
I would chose a class that's essential or at least not gimped in Velious. Monks and shamans are great choices and I wouldn't be influenced by how many are already around today. They're both very important to every aspect of the game. Maybe both are popular, but there're so many shitty players only putting in 60-70% of what's possible, so that ain't an argument for me.

One of these kind of posts comes up about twice a week. And I say the same thing every time. Play what you like. What race you want. Who gives a rats ass. You are the one that has to play the damn thing for hour upon hour, days on end just to get to level 30.
You are suppose to have fun here (sic). So play what you would enjoy not what I say or someone else says. Welcome back again.

Played one to about 53 or 54 here, and one roughly to 62ish back on live. But i see what your saying about velious.
Why did you quit so many times? Better yet, why do you keep coming back? :D

Like others, things come up in real life that cause you to have to take a break, but when things smooth over you often get the urge to play again.
