Find a level 60 in a decent guild, they will usually help out.

Holy crap, this isn't rocket science you twit. Find a high lvl player in a major guild and ask them to assist.
Why are so many people so thick on this issue?

Here's a public offer to help out if you need still. I'm pretty bored. Logging into game in a couple mins.

you don't need bag slots to hold bags on your cursor, shit wont just drop to the floor.
edit: but seriously, most high level guilded toons are safe, or look on the ec boards for people who have been selling services for a long time. someone with a longstanding service (hagglebaron, etc) won't trash their rep this way.

And I have no idea what guilds have a good rep, none seem mature to me.
Well, with that attitude...
I lost a whole bag of gear doing this once in a room in Nek, with no one else in zone.
Careful of NPCs sometimes they will pick em up. at least that happened to me once on live since then i dont trust em in the room or near a route where they walk by
Drop transfers aint so bad, cept you need to turn raw plat into gems. If your worried it can poof, test it with an empty bag first and time it

I did a drop transfer once in gfay, came back and 2 pixies were standing around the bags. only 1 of the 3 bags were left.
I agree though, some form of shared bank would be nice.
But so would a lot of other features I can think of. /shrug

Do NPCs actually pick up dropped items on this server?
Tecmos Deception
10-19-2012, 09:57 AM
I didn't know they ever did on any server. That smacks of a wives' tale made up to explain why droptransfer attempts fail.

I need to have the sit down talk with someone about getting Sergeant Slate back to his old self. This talk needs to happen in a place void of "LUL NO PROOF" naysayers!

Just camp on a wall behind a tree, or if you're around EC - the back of the tunnel where Shady is actually isn't a bad spot if the server is quiet.

Join a Guild. Guildie transfers seem to be about as safe as any. The top people in a guild are not going to rip anybody off.

oh yea NPCs do pick up bags ive watched the qeynos guards do it before

NPC's picked up stuff on live, but I've never seen it happen here. I do a lot of drop transfers myself and only once lost my items because of having the misfortune of the login server coming down. But that's the risk.

Safest places to drop transfer are empty buildings in cities.
All that can go wrong really is your client/computer crashes. I don't know how long it can be on the ground before it poofs.
I believe back in the day on live you used to be able to give it to a mob.
What really sucks is that you can't drop gold, which you could definitely do back on live. Gems aren't too bad for exchange rate, but it still sucks.

60 bard in TMO...i was just sitting there in EC tunnel...listen to people argue was pretty awesome. next thing you know some guy is handing me 2 bags, "Got room for these?"
Uhh...sure i said, wasn't doing anything anyway. He's like ok brb...ok stuff prob worth about 25k all together. He came back...gave em his shit, and went back to doin what i was doin.
Honestly i used to do this 2...look for someone in the bigger raid guilds, ask them to hold my stuff...and do my trade, most likely they will never need your junk.

Top two inquiries in EC - buffs and transfers, in that order. Neither are a problem, unless you've got some strange biased opinion about high-level characters like the OP does.

God I feel nerdy admitting this but when I drop transfer high value items I keep an extra laptop nearby on char select in case of catastrophic desktop failure.

lol, now I got a strange bias
Yeah, you do.
Your thread is essentially asking for help, except you pepper your request with phrases like "everyone has a douchy attitude" and "I have no idea what guilds have a good rep, none seem mature to me".
I'd still transfer your items no questions asked, if only to teach you a lesson in not forming generalized opinions about everyone else playing this game.

Fair enough, my bad.
VD did pack up, Peace Pipe became Acyrid became From Chaos (I think), TMO has a short list of trustworthy folks and anyone in A-Team will find your kidnapped uncle and the location of the stolen gold for a modest fee of cigars and fool pity.

But will there be gratuitous use of ramshackle cabbage cannons?
Spitty
10-24-2012, 01:36 PM
They may be ramshackle, good sir, but our cannons can put a group of three cabbages inside the ten at 400 yards and deliver a batch of coleslaw accurately within a six-mile radius.
We once fired a prime example of a European red cabbage directly up in the air to test the range. Three days later, we had sauerkraut.

I've done a thousand drop-transfers on this server, because I have no friends.
Just find a secluded spot and have at it. The only trouble I ever had was once when my internet crashed and stayed off-line for a few hours right as I was logging out and in. All my bags poofed, of course, and I lost everything. Lucky for me, Uthgaard restored everything although he did warn me that it was not something he would do again nor was it something they do routinely.
These days, I just have my wife log in to transfer for me. Now if only I could get her to actually play her druid past level four.
Halfelfbard
10-24-2012, 02:46 PM
The problem with ur wife not playing is because the druid is lvl 4. The low lvl's suck ass man...get her to sow lvl atleast then say have at it.
