What class would you play in RL?

Ok, here's the deal: You can pick any class up to lvl 60 at Velious. Which class would you choose to be in RL?

My thoughts: Any of the mêlée classes are pretty much useless since few of their skills would be unique or very useful in our world. Same goes for the hybrids as their spells pale in comparison to those of the casters. The bard is of course a little different, but I figured it would just be far too weird...

For me it would be a toss up between enchanter, druid, cleric or shaman.

The enchanter would be awesome, but mostly for selfish reasons - imagine what you could do with charm, mez, invis etc.

Cleric really only offers one thing that druid/shaman does not: resurrection - but how would this play out in a RL setting?

The shaman can heal/cure, boost your physical and mental abilities, which would be pretty awesome. The druid can do this too, though to a lesser extend.

The big question concerning the druid is how port would work? This could be quite a powerful tool, but if you assume that these spells could be adapted to fit into our world, then so too might the magicians summon ability... need cash? Summon money. Need food/drink? You get the picture.

What would your choice be?

druid would be rubbish. port would take you to stone henge and that's it. not many druid rings irl.

Wizard would be good, but i think mage would be better. Summoning bags out of pocket dimensions etc.

Between enchanter and magician for me.

Well, I'm not sure how well that would play out considering the relative short duration of charm and the fact that the 'victim' must be cognizant of what goes on during - as charmed targets aggro when charm breaks (although I suppose mem wipe could work) - but lets not turn this into a debate of how to hypothetically rape people :P (too late?)

Also enchanters with illusions would be cool :p Illusion Air elemental would in theory give you flight, illusion wolf give faster speed prolly (although in game it doesnt QQ).

Enchanter hands down would win. Bard... you'd actually have to sing irl. And if you wanted to truly move fast with selo's you'd have to run around banging a drum whilst singing. Sure you'd be running at 80mph, but ... it just wouldn't look cool.

Now let's steer the topic to which would be the most philanthropic class. Cleric of course... but rezzing would have terrible moral implications and defy the laws of nature. Death is needed after all. Healing people as well as curing diseases goes against this and would lead to mass over population. People would starve to death, land prices would sky rocket and the cost of labour would plummet. Capitalism would run rife whilst increasing the economic divisions between classes...

Bastard clerics would ruin the world...

Conclusion : Being an enchanter so you can do your horrible little mind games on people entirely for self-gain is less evil than being a cleric perverting the course of nature and effectively destroying the world <3
