Is there a quickfix or do I need a clean install? We're on completely separate ip addresses. I can log in fine when he isn't logged on.

I tried a fresh install. Still having the same issue. He can't log on when I'm logged on either. How the heck do we fix this?

Your in different houses right? There are more then 1 type of Ip address. If your in different houses yes there is something fishy but if your in the same house and have different Ip address(thats your personal ip address for the house) then you wont be able to play. Just making sure this is clear. Kind of a wierd bug if its the first thing.

Different houses. I have used my character on his ip address, but it was on his computer at his house. There's no way we have the same ip address.

I know the answer to this may seem obvious but you guys are using different login server accounts right?

Yep. I have my account with my characters and he has his. I'm currently stealing wifi from a neighbor. I'm going to get my own isp, see what happens. I'll make sure to share the results.

Is your neighbor playing P99?

It doesnt make any sense, never heard of this before. Temporary IP block only takes effect as far as I know if your trying to log in the same loginserver account or if you went linkdead and trying to log back in too early
Its best to make a petition and take it up with the admins

It'll let me log in when he is, but when I attempt to join the P99 server when he's on I get the temporarily blocked ip error message. I can log on to any other server.

My neighbor may play P99, but I doubt it. Its too much of a coincidence that I can only log in when he is not for that to be the issue.

If I have a weak wifi signal I will get a "banned" message. Is this what you see?

I've gotten that one once while I did have a weak signal, but the one I keep getting is the same one you'd get if you did go linkdead. Temporarily blocked IP. Please try again in a few minutes.

I've been able to play with him in the past. I think it was after I played at his house that the issue began. Its hard to say. I hadn't played in a few months and I was 800 miles away when I did. I played at his house when I moved back and then decided to start playing again.

Hey, ask for an IP exemption if it is truly the case that you're having some kind of technical error. Although if you AND your friend are jacking your neighbors WiFi, that would indeed be the issue. It's not your IP that matters, it's the IP of the internet you are using.
All that being said, to file for IP Exemption, you need to follow a specific format:
Go into the forums, go into "petitions", make a new thread title it: "IP Exemption"
(taken from the forum rules for petitioning)
IP Exemption: This is for requesting to be exempt from the limit of 1 connection per IP Address. You may request exemption if you have more than 1 real person playing from the same IP. When posting for this, please include the account names of every person that will be playing from the same IP.
Hope this helps!
