Horrible pings

Just moved and my new provider seems to have a horrible route to the server. Pings are now averaging around 230ms. Most everything else is 35ms as usual. Anyone have any tips on how to coerce changes at an ISP, what those changes might be, or if I'm completely SOL now?

Im not sure, but I've been having issues as well with p99 in the last 3 days. Mine have to do with getting booted/crashing while attempting to load back up past char select screen. But Ive noticed that while attempting to load up past char select that my ping goes through the roof, internet browser windows won't even load up until after EQ boots me to login screen or I end it from the task manager.
