So who else attended this? I went to 3 of the 4. same story about freeport, but at the end he had a story about aataltaa to find his journal and he would continue. First thought was to jump on alla and look it up. Comes off estrella, but has a recommended level of 45 which can't be classic. So I go to another story time and he tells us he was on a journey to faydwer. So off to faydwer I go. I get info about him that he was a High elf so naturally I check felwithe and nothing. So 1 more story time. This time at the end of the story he is told that he was last seen in the hills of shade?? or underwater with horrible service to boot. So another wild goose chase. hills of shade was a secret of faydwer zone soo My instinct was to find that old cloth map that came with the kunark box set. I see that hills of shade was north of lesserfay.. So i scour that zone and steamfont. Nothing again, so underwater with horrible service? could only think of kedge at first.. so I go there but find nothing of sorts there. So then I think well what about the bar in neriak that has windows that look into lake. "underwater with horrible service" sounded solid, but again nothing. SOO did anyone figure this out or work towards it to find this stupid journal?

The lore included in the majority of the storytime events run by my alter ego hasten come from eqrpg which was released in 2002. The lore itself was given by vhalen to the eqrpg team and is used mainly as a way of introducing the players of P99 with segments of history that they may not know or may wish to delve more deeper into.
Around the launch of the eqrpg and other books, npcs and quests were added to the game to syncronise the lore in what vhalen called the Universal Timeline. Estrella was included in this lore.
Since Aataltaal is so significant in the storyline of EverQuest i don't want to be done an dusted with the lore immediately. You will find other events running over the coming weeks which will aid you all on the task of locating more information about this mysterious High Elf(?) and what his purpose is.
Until then I hope you guys can find out as much as you can and enjoy the future story time events that Hasten will be presenting at various apt locations around the world.

I was curious if we missed the events and attend the forthcoming ones, are we left out in the dust?
Will there be any shall we say, "rerun" of what was said/done tonite?
I really wanted to attend, but i got this desire to catch up and level...... It's real hard to decide between the two at times.

So, based on this, is the Journal not even attainable yet or is it in such a remote or discrete location that only the clues we get in following weeks will lead us to it?

ya was just about to ask the same question. If this lore was 2002 and NPC added to follow the lore. is the journal then not even attainable?

Sorry I should be more clear! The journal will be attainable through a series of events and will not be lootable from traditional mobs (due to the desire to keep the lootset classic)
Those that missed the events will get many chances over the coming week to hear the stories again and more - I guess add your requests to this thread!

So whats happened/happening with this story line? Havnt seen Hasten telling any more stories lately. But I have been getting alot of info and clues from various people running into GM controlled NPCs/monster.
Is the journal actually in game now? IVe been devoting alot of my time when im on trying to locate it from the clues Hasten and the players ive talked to thats seen the GM controlled NPCs.

The Journal is indeed in game but is not accesible without a GM event :-)
The story ran last night with the arrival of a certain Female Half Elf Bard in the East commonlands. Those that took the time to follow her into SolDungA are currently on a quest!
Speak to Ghaz if you want to follow this storyline!

So, also with the "its only in game with a GM event"
I guess I can stop wasting my time running around then. :p
Also will it be a certain GM event or just anytime a GM is doing somthing with the story line? I want to follow the story as much as possible but Im sure I know where to look mostly with some clues ive collected.
*still waiting for Ghaz to respond to me about the quest*
