I'm curious what the cost of Orb of Clear Water and Orb of Vapor are

well given that those orbs are the biggest chunk of the epic, not including Begurgle.... I mean I would say the value would be close to the cost of the full epic imo, maybe a slight reduction. I would say 40-50k combined. Orb of vapor probably worth more due to the process of killing Ragefire to get...
I did this recently rather than buying a full MQ. That was before Metallikus started selling again and people were trying to get 80k for them.
Singed Scrolls go for about 10k. I spent 15k on mine because it was the last thing I needed.
Ixibilat Sceptres are usually free - people kill him all the time for Cloaks. I'm guessing you could probably just ask a guild killing him if you can loot it. I'm guessing a lot of guilds would jump at the opportunity if you can spawn him for them.
Ragefire Heart/3rd Orb is about 20-25k.
Plasmatic Priest Robe is 5-10k.

Plasmatic Priest Robe is 5-10k.
I can understand big prices on Ragefire, but the Plasmatic Priest Robe can be done with a group of 50s without too much bother - just pull to the zoneline (aggro him and gate to your bind point at the zone line).
He'll turn up, just dps him down. Save 5-10k easily.

People who buy their epics must be so proud

Plasmatic Priest is a triggered spawn which requires the Bergurgle camp ahead of time.

Only real way to do it without being in a very large nerdy guild.

Awesome, thank you. I'm going to be getting plasmatic priest done today so my next step will be ixibilat. =) If any guild wants a free spawn of him PM me and i'll spawn him. I just want the cleric epic piece. In regards to metallikus, yeah I'm really happy the guy is selling the MQ really cheap. I sent him a PM, hopefully he would be willing to sell at least one of the orbs for under 20k =)

That's an easy kill (if not for the PH spawn times), and certainly well ahead of handing over 5k-10k plat... I just can't see where that figure comes from other than the "CBA, just going to pay" element that plays on the server.
If you're in a guild there's no reason why you can't quest the whole epic out with them over a period of time from start to finish. Sure, Ixiblat can be a challenge if you're lacking a well geared tank and Ragefire is perma-camped by TMO/BDA... but up to there I don't see why questing clerics can't manage.

Always thought epics were meant to be quested, kinda what made them epics. Jesus man you guys sure know how to turn a game into a chore.

It is an easy kill, but what is a person's time worth? If someone can group in crypt for a few hours getting xp and a hiero and selling that for most of the cost of an epic, then why spend the time to do all the camps and runs, when you can just run out to TD once and be done with it?
Same reason people pay 4-5k for jboot MQs? To save time.
I would imagine most people got the "lore" aspect of EQ out of the way back in 1999-2000 and know what they want and how to get it with the least amount of work and roadblocks possible.

2k maybe... 10k? Laughable for the plasmatic priest.
Maybe my views are skewed because I don't have an abundance of cash, and questing (as mentioned) is all part of the epic process.
Sure, if you're in a high flying guild or buy/sell accountso n the server and have geared up 3-4 alts with epics...what's another 10k? No stopping anyone, maybe I should look into profiting from people's lack of time - 10k to kill Bergurgle and show up at Sol Ro for a quick hand in sounds like easy money.
I will gladly pay 5-10k to not have to camp Begurgle. Different strokes.
I should clarify that I've done the cleric epic on live and have probably camped/killed Begurgle around 15-20 times on EZ server. It's neither an efficient use of time nor enjoyable.

I've actually seen in EC the plasmatic priest robe go for 5-10k. 10K maybe almost a year ago, 5K more recently. They don't sell or be seen EC much of ever. Generally it is pretty useless to just buy one part of the epic.
FYI Ragefire isn't perma camped by BDA/TMO, just most everyone pays strict attention to its death time that needs it. It takes a lot of dedication to get to him, being that he maybe at best is up for an hour if there isn't anyone paying close attention late at night.
