Low Level AOE groups

I've been jealously watching the Chardok AOE groups and finally snapped and made a Wizard (I did a lot of AOEs on my enchanter, so I was always curious to try it as a Wizard). Shockand Awe is currently L21 and while he doesn't have all that stuff I have listed on his magelo, caster gear is pretty cheap and its just a matter of time. Currently he has 1200 mana and all the PBAOE spells up to L34 which should be more than enough to get started, because I certainly don't intend to level up by grouping and casting Force Shock every 3 minutes.

The easy thing I'm thinking of is a duo with a bard or druid who kites with low HP aggro while Shockand PBAOEs, although the timing of that could be a little tricky.

It would be more fun to try some legit aoe groups (2x Enc etc). I'm not sure how easy it would be for the Enchanters before 44 with the 8s stun but I would be curious to try, and I might be able to get a friend to play Loraen. Most of these dungeons are much easier to get around in than Chardok, so we could have the cleric go down and root something than invis/ivu back up. I think there are quite a few midlevel dungeons where this would work pretty well; Splitpaw, Guk (top/bottom), Mistmoore if we could catch it more or less empty, City of Mist should be capable of generating some HUGE trains by rooting the roamer around Neh'Ashiir's little reaver house etc.

I nerded out and did a little math; when I finish gearing Shockand he should be able to kill a pack of blues by himself up till about L40-45 which is when mobs start getting ridiculous HP levels.

I had great success from 29 through 39 doing Mistmoore pre-Kunark. We had our share of deaths, but as long as I was in good sync with the other enchanter, we were fine.

i have a lvl 40 bard (exceptional geared)
and a lvl 34 enchanter (decent gear)

obviously i can only play one or the other at a time but up for some ae mid lvl groups

the chardok skyfire even seb ae xp groups, are so... siiiiiiiick

1 yellow an hour at 59 is retarded, 1-50 is nothing compared to the 50-60 grind 55-60 is just its own game, 59 is time stops

I got a 30 WIZ - all PBAE spells thru 49, decent gear.

I did this on Ace here on P99. The best dungeons I found were Paw and CT. Paw is nice cuz the trains form themselves (you dungeon crawl down to certain choke points - tag a mob and it will start a train). CT is awesome if you can go to 4c and pull the entire pyramid.

Once you get to 40 tho it dries up. At that point I would recommend Dreadlands till 45, and EJ till 52 ala Skyfire AE groups of yesteryear.

So I bought a little PL from Zanderr and Shockand is now 24 with 1350 mana and a new PBAOE too. The bard low-hp aggro thing definitely works well and is pretty easy although i was missing about 1/4 of the time which sucked but with a bit more practice I think it would be no problem.

So it seems in the 30s there are lots of options (CT, Paw, MM, Swamp of No Hope with a bard), and in the 40s there are reasonable options (Gukbottom, OT, EJ, BW). Any suggestions for 24->30 though?

Anyway I'll look for all you guys on (what are your char names silo?) or maybe we should setup a time. Just need a cleric and another enchanter really.

P.S. Ace I have to laugh at your double wizards :D

Haha yeah, I wanted to make a Vox/Naggy alt and, well, what can I say? - I like Wizards hehe.

If you wanna set something up I won't be available till NYE and NYD. But on NYE I can pretty much do any time up till 9pm EST (then it's party time). NYD I'd say nothing before Noon EST heh.

But at least we can set a date/time and try to get a long-term session going with people of roughly the same level etc.

Nod, these aoe groups are an utter PITA to organize. Getting a regular group would be fantastic, ideally alts who wont go crazy leveling on us too.

Whenever I ask people to pbaoe duo with shockand they just laugh at me though :P

Sure we can look for each other online. My experience with Dramor was that at 18-24 swarming NE OT was really easy but at 34-38 doing SW OT it became way more tiring because the kites went from 2->6 minutes with the increased mob HP.

I noticed too that kunark mobs tend to have way more hp than vanilla, Ill try to stay classic as long as i can lol

So I tried this in SK with Hazeus and it didn't work at all. Specifically, both a) pulling with bruscos while low hp and b) pulling, hitting all mobs with Largos 2x and then being low hp worked for like 1 nuke.

Anyway I'm curious if anyone who has actually gotten this to work can speak up. In hindsight its looking like it was Zanderr's snare that was just higher aggro than my nukes. Zanderr claims it worked at 30+ so maybe thats it.

TL;DR: Seems Low HP aggro only functions on mobs over L20.
