Help identify an OOT boat from 2000

Once upon a time, there was a ghost boat. This is the ghost boat:

According to comments on Allakhazam, it was found in the OOT circa March, 2000. Various players reported that it was manned by an undead crew, and spotted near Garg isle.

After about 6 hours of searching, I was unable to find any more information about this boat. The ghost boat was reused as a ferry from Kerra Isle to Marauder's Mire on the Stormhammer Legends server, so any information related to that doesn't apply here.

Does anyone remember OOT back in 1999/2000? Where did this boat go? Where did captain spook and the spooky crew go on the spooky boat?

The fun started on October 31, when several zones were altered--renamed, even--to become the home of new NPCs and GM-run events. Lower-level zones like Rathe Mountains, West Commonlands, Qeynos Hills, East Karana, and North Ro saw sweeping changes, while the Ocean of Tears played host to the ghost ship Deep Thro--er--Deep Tomb. Items ranged from things that would make a level 10 druid happy to old school uber items like the Cloak of Flames.

Yep, not a Halloween event. The posts recounting sightings of the boat in the OOT on live come from February/March, 2000.

The boat was used in a Halloween GM (As stated by someone). The boat traveled to specter island where players killed a ton of specters leading up to a named one. Once the named specter was dead, the dead took people back to the one island in OOT (the one where you first stop before heading to BB mountains).

Just FYI, I don't believe this was related to a GM event at all, though a GM event may have made use of that model at one point. I have screenshots of the ghost ship dating back to September of '99, before EQ's first Halloween event. Its possible that it was just a really, really, rare spawn, or somehow triggered by players unknowingly.

While it is possible that it was just a "one time thing", i find it hard to believe that verant would go out of their ways to make a nice model like this, and only one it once for a GM event.

I remember this event! I indeed rode this boat to the spectre islands, to kill the named spectre.
