Hello p99 players. I have been researching on this forum and a lot of different websites regarding this issue and really havn't found a clear answer on this topic. I want to get started by playing this game and havn't been able to locate a copy of Everquest Titanium except for it being on ebay for an absurd price. My question is can you just buy the expansions separately on amazon that are in the Everquest titanium package?

Can we not just sticky a way to find Titanium on the internet for a "very low price"? ;)

I understand what your saying and it's tempting. I cleaned up my act though I quit doing those dl's a long time ago. I'm just trying to find a legit way, rather than being captain hook. Even if it means purchasing each seperate expansion. Anyone know if that would work by buying each seperate exp for the titanium set. I mean I don't see why it wouldn't work but for all I know there could be some .dll file thats only on the titanium version. I checked out amazon and they had all the seperate expansions on there for about 2 dollars each.

I'm not entirely sure that would work, but there really isn't another way other than the "very low price" way, unless you had the original titanium package (which I actually have) :p

Can anyone give me a solid explanation on why that wouldn't work? When I mean solid Im not putting down the previous answers that I have gotten I thank you for putting your time into helping me out. I was just wondering any technical details or errors that would come across.

If you were to buy the game now, it would come with different patches and software content than if you had EQ titanium. EQEmu relies on that version of EQ specifically. You could theoretically buy the expansions and software and patch to that version, but it would most likely have to be a reverse patch :(

Not really an addiction at all. I just stopped doing those dl's. Kind of around the time where people started getting into trouble with all the limewire stuff. That's why i've been searching high and low looking for a way to get this working without going on the 7 seas if you catch my drift.

Plenty ways of doing it, but getting it through the popular means is the easiest by far. If you are really set on it, SoE would be the best place to contact.

You need Titanium because for whatever reason that's the only edition of EQ compatible with this (and all other?) emu servers. Just torrent it, it's not a big deal at all and SOE isn't going to take you to court over it.

Basically though, you're an idiot.

EverQuest Titanium does not even exist for sale. You cannot buy it. (except on Ebay, if you want to throw money away)

EverQuest itself is not a pay to play game anymore. You cannot buy it.

I greatly respect you for your efforts to obtain the client through legit means. Don't listen to the morons talking against you. I congratz you for your honor.

Sadly there isn't really a means to obtain the source other than dishonorable ways.

And again sadly I don't have any suggestions to help you. I can offer to share my client via ftp or web hosting, however my source was obtain through the means other have stated.

the everquest client is free to download off sony's website.

Titanium does not really exist anymore (unless, like people have stated, you want to pay ridiculous amounts of money for it on ebay)

The everquest client is free to download off sony's website.

I promise you, you aren't doing anything dishonorable by putting on your pirate hat.

the main reason you cant buy all the expansions is what lex said, you'd have to patch it up to the exact version that eqemu uses. You aren't going to be able to find that patch, i guarantee it.

Also, I do believe the titanium client has some special features that you may not be able to patch in even if you were able to find a patch.

In conclusion, I know how you feel bud, but honestly you're not doing anything wrong here. You're downloading a free game. free. don't sweat it. EQ isnt subscription based anymore, and they don't sell everquest anymore either.

I got my copy at gamestop for 4.99 but that was a few years ago now. it's worth a look, anyway.
