The most recent vztz emu had died and I was reading the server select and saw Project1999 Beta with about 100 people on it, and a few hours later, I think, it was up and running. It was particularly amazing having waited so long for eqclassic to do anything, good thing I didn't wait around for that : D

Wow. I thought the server was older than it was when I joined. I'm an August 2010er. I always wished I'd found the server a month prior. In live, Lag's birthdate was July 3, 1999. Lag the II's birthday is August 3, 2010. If I'd found p99 a smidge earlier I might have had the same birth date 11 years apart!

I swear though. I've been savoring this place for every last drop of classic EQ I can squeeze out of it. Takin' it slow and loving the ride.

Zanderr helped my wife and I get a Pegasus Feather Cloak the other day... One more classic experience that I didn't get to do in live =)

That's another thing I love here... getting the chance to do little things that I passed by or missed out on in live. I had fun assembling a rubicite set and taking massive amounts of screenshots! I didn't get Rubicite in live (shit was patched out the very DAY friends and I had plans to go to CT for Rubicite).

Glorious times completing rubi set - made feel even better having to work through those 10minute judicator fights since push didn't work and interrupting their healspam was impossible. Autoattack till the damn loogers were finally oom, worst thing ever!

Am rolled toon 25th of december 2009, drunken christmas stupor results in great idea to reinstall EQ emulator, stumbled on p99, derped SK creation not putting 5 to agi on creation, swing tarnished two-handed axe at lizardmen for ages.
