Taboo should offer his NoS for a Selo's + plat if anything
Do some research on what an item is worth before you post...even though the prices are blue, its the ratio that matters 2-1

Poster above me has no idea how the economy works on red, hence why he thinks he will get a fungi for a NoS and Locket of Escape, meanwhile, Heartbrand one of top three richest people on Red, performs deals daily, confirmed Romney status on red99.

You need a lesson in Econ HB.
Market is saturated with drums.
Sever has very few bards.
Drums wont sell for 60k.
More drums than bards.

Fungi = how many drops each day, like 3-5?
NoS = small chance of getting one every 24 hours
Locket = does not drop
no offense, but common sense is more valuable than what people THINK items are worth

NoS worth about 25k currently. Selos Drums drop off dragons. Only 1 guild kills dragon. That guild sells drums for 60k. Someone's math is wrong.
25+25 = 50
25+25+25 = 75
50 < 60 > 75

It doesn't matter how common they are when one guild has them all and can control the flow of supply into the marketplace, aka supply and demand, nihilum controls the supply and can therefore artificially inflate the demand and hence the price pal, it doesn't matter if they had 400 drums.
NoS was over farmed on this server with 6+ being pumped into the game each day, I myself have six NoS'es, I also have three lockets which really serve almost zero purpose for a variety of reasons including the fact that at least in Nihilum we have to rebind each week for VP so we don't have a big reason to trade phat platz or itemz for that Locket to then lose that bind a week later anyway.
Fungi is rarely camped anymore btw, I think last night was the first real fungi group we've done in nihilum in a long ass time and even that was only for like 3 PH's. Fungi has a utility value that far exceeds the other items mentioned, etc., etc., blah blah, hence why there's 100 WTB Fungi threads, almost no WTS Fungi threads, but yet I can buy a NoS in 5 minutes in game if I wanted to @ 20k.

People just don't get, this isn't blue, the prices for items on blue are meaningless, they have zero relevance here for a variety of factors.
1) There's no market here for low-mid range items. It's just not worth farming or selling items of this caliber here.
2) The type of items in demand here are different than blue due to it's nature as a PVP server.
3) Red has been dominated by one single raid guild which has literally 98.9% of all raid loot in the game, they also have like 90% of the wealth on this server. That means when you're trying to sell your high end items, your target market is usually Nihilum, but they already are decked out in end game gear. This makes selling things here much more difficult, and it's why I choose to farm mainly resist gear which has a broad market base as opposed to individual items which are far more difficult to sell.
4) Because this is a PVP server and it's a low pop server, people can simply camp many of the items that are on permafarm status on blue and not drop any plat, further lowering the value on many items that would sell on blue.
5) Legacy items have diminished value here such as manastones, NoS, etc., because so many of them flooded the market place with so little a pop.

I think its fair simply because NoS best in slot and used by all. Drum best in slot for bard only.

Also, NoS becomes obsolete day one Velious, an item like Fungi retains it's value indefinitely.

Only read the first sentence...this is why Nihilum isn't able to sell dragon loots and have 10+ selos; their pricing is way off. Don't get me wrong, I really like the idea that Nihilum is starting to sell their loots now (thanks to Niz's posts) but you have to know what an item is worth otherwise it just won't sell. This is why Nihilum has so many multiple copies of x item.

That's what your not getting. Nihilum doesn't need to sell any of these items because it doesn't really need the platinum, and in all honesty it's really not in their best interest to sell items of considerable power to people not in the guild. However, nonetheless they've decided to open the bank somewhat to the masses. You can accept the price given or you have no chance of ever obtaining the item or getting it from someone else. It's take it or leave it. You can't complain the price isn't accurate when they're the only show in town, they set the price pal. Hence why in normal economies we punish monopolies as unfair to consumers.

This is a simple case of Supply and Demand. If someone wants the item bad enough, they will pay what is required to purchase said item. Why you want to argue anything else is beyond pointless.

Yep and the reason why monopolies fail also (just take a look at the Madden franchise). People stop buying shit and ultimately it hurts everyone in the end. I suggest Nihilum start selling their items for fair prices, for the good of the server. Not having a healthy economy is killing Red and makes people coming over from blue hesitate to continue playing here.
At this point in the game, on Red, a NoS > Selos. Your stance is that people farmed the hell out of it. So. So did people on blue and its still worth 45k there over 2/3 the value of what a fungi tunic is worth.
I think alot of it has to do with the fact that Nihilum (and a few others) don't have a clue what items are worth, partially because all they have done is sat by their batphones and raided dragons. I like how HB is on here professing about the economy and value of items...when in reality he has little experience on selling/trading items here, and it surely shows.

Lets be honest this is loot that is there and they do have an monopoly, tbh I don't have a problem with the prices. They can't gear every single person on the server for cheap I mean if that happened they'd lose all their raid targets in the future.

Your blue server reasoning doesn't apply here. The level of competition is much higher on any pvp server - this shits srs man, we ain't friendly. The only competition on a blue server is who can amass the greatest number of players to zerg down content. On a red server, your goal is to prevent your competition from even being capable of killing you, let alone competing for raid targets.
Consider Nihilum the United States or r99. If we even think you're trying to enrich uranium, we will level your little shanty huts to the ground. If we do sell you weapons, we will make sure its ones that don't present a threat to us, at a price that benefits us more than you.
Even Mellowyellow understands this, and he has the IQ of a houseplant.
