Shadowknights vs. Paladins. Good vs. Evil melee hybrids. Base idea, I'll leave the specifics to others.

Flagging item loot for a day.

Blue to red character transfers for a weekend, will need a script to remove all items by ID that came over after chars are removed to ensure no haxiness or just a way to disable trading/item dropping during it.

Long have I spent my days outside of Rivervale. In my youth I stood guard at the wall and slew bat and beast to keep our paths safe. Still, no threat ever loomed so great beyond the wall as the Goblinfolk. From their fortress in Runnyeye they mount their poorly organized raids. Their weapons are brittle and their spirits are weak, no raid has ever breached our fortifications.

In recent days, however, whispers tell of movement in Runnyeye and new allies of the Goblins. I received a letter from home. Soaked, crumbled, and bloody, I know not how it reached me in High Keep. The letter was from my father. My sister, Grechila Kneecapper, has been taken by the green bastards.

What part she plays in this and whether or not she is alive, the letter did not say. All I know is this: the Goblins of Runnyeye are up to something. I must save Grechila, and I must uncover their plans.

A mounted assault upon the Mistythicket wall would be suicide for the greenbellies... or would it?

take a db snapshot sunday night. everything will reset after this event, and awards handed out after revert.

*highlander v2.0*
-for 1 week server is permadeath + full item loot
-every killshot you get on someone adds ALL of their experience to yours.
-at the end of the week, or whenever only one 61+ character remains on server that person wins and gets some reward. revert the db back to its state from before the event.

issues -
-the server is probably not coded to handle scaling up to level 90 or whatever, so that might need a look at. we dont need new spells and abilities past level 60, just scale up hp + resists vs spells and hit rates etc as would happen if a lvl 55 were fighting a lvl 60.

an option is to give a permanent undispellable buff or ammo slot item that grows in power with each kill within your lvl range.

another option is to keep the highlander xp gain concept, but max lvl is 60 and enable AA's. most aa's wins (whether they do anything or not is up to source code).

I thought I heard somebody bring this up before, but a sort of purple event where two teams have to protect a "king" sort of mob with buffed HP. Having mix of O and D attacking other teams "king". First team to lose its mob loses. Maybe in a tight zone like Crushbone. One team sits on slave pits, other near those cabins.

Would also like to see zone control event...like CTF type deal.

A beautiful sunny day in the Northern Plains of Karana immediately turns pitch black and quiet. A black knight levitates across the the plains, blinding everyone and everything with the cursed touch of Zonecmd. The legendary heroes from Virulent, lonely neckbeards from Fishbait, and ruthless mercenaries from Heresy, all alike fall to the black knight known as, Kringex.


From afar you think you hear leaves whisper in the wind, but it is inf act the sound of 1,000 jimmies rustle over pixels and pizza boxes.


But wait, on the horizon, the white knight known as Sirken approaches with a Trochilic's Skean in one hand, and an Herbalist's Spade in the other; Gallantly charging towards Kringex. Will you aide Sirken in his quest to purge Norrath from corruption? Or will you be felled by the dreaded Zonecmd, whilst grasping your chest as you whisper "...can't chew bru..."



tl;dr: Npc in NK which casts an unresistable blind and also turns you in a human (with no armor). The player who actually lands the killing blow gets the title "White Knight."

I would use the halloween event of 2001 on Rallos as a blueprint and take it from there.

A pve event (mobs) that drops something worthy enough that it attracts the servers pop and therefore pvp.

This might be more in line for Thursday Night Fights ideas.

I remember an event on live, Vallon Zek, where they split everyone into the team races and did a pvp event.(i feel like elves and gnomes joined together) Worked out pretty well, but this is all based on who shows up.

I also think that a 6v6 where you rolled a char and got another GM/Guide to roll one and picked teams. make a little changeup to the normal Nihilum vs Azrael. And we could see the great Sirken in action.

i'm not sure if it's been suggested, i havent played in almost a month and i rarely have time to read boards. i personally strongly suggest GM events on 24 hours notice that handout 7 AoN's for mere attendance.
