I was reading about AABB-tree implementations in collision detection systems when I received a batphone for Trak. Upon logging in I was sad to hear he hadn't actually spawned. I was about to start getting angered, my brothers, when Trak actually did spawn. You can imagine my joy, especially because of how it looks lol. You just can't plan something like that! Zeelot and Darkdeath logged in five minutes before these logs. The only TMO in zone were themselves and Zimy. I was there with Shinko. Nekro was also there (FE).

Ten minutes AFTER these logs, Trak spawned. Trak had 10 hours left in window at this point.

1. Zeelot and Darkdeath, like the sweet brothers they are, just so happen to merrily log in AT THE SAME time FIVE MINUTES BEFORE the a 'fake' batphone goes off. Completely understandable - aside from sharing spider senses they probably still bath together as well.

2. The TMO raid force sits on trak ledge CONTINUING TO FORM GROUPS for TEN MINUTES while Zeelot and Darkdeath, having conveniently been there five minutes before this fake batphone, obviously knew that Trak was not up. Also understandable - whenever I go to an event that is canceled, especially if I knew it was canceled beforehand, I always just kinda hang out for a while and prepare myself for it...just in case it wasn't 'really' canceled. .

3. Magic happens! Trakanon spawns! TMO happens to have a full raid force GROUPED AND BUFFED and a path clear of protector and juggs straight to the big bad dragon that was only a short time ago a false alarm from a mysterious app with privileges that Alarti only gained after making his 16th sex tape with Eccezan!

Zeelot and Darkdeath logged in five minutes before these logs. The only TMO in zone were themselves and Zimy. I was there with Shinko. Nekro was also there (FE).

Ten minutes AFTER these logs, Trak spawned. Trak had 10 hours left in window at this point.

So let me get this straight...

1. Zeelot and Darkdeath, like the sweet brothers they are, just so happen to merrily log in AT THE SAME time FIVE MINUTES BEFORE the a 'fake' batphone goes off. Completely understandable - aside from sharing spider senses they probably still bath together as well.

2. The TMO raid force sits on trak ledge CONTINUING TO FORM GROUPS for TEN MINUTES while Zeelot and Darkdeath, having conveniently been there five minutes before this fake batphone, obviously knew that Trak was not up. Also understandable - whenever I go to an event that is canceled, especially if I knew it was canceled beforehand, I always just kinda hang out for a while and prepare myself for it...just in case it wasn't 'really' canceled. .

3. Magic happens! Trakanon spawns! TMO happens to have a full raid force GROUPED AND BUFFED and a path clear of protector and juggs straight to the big bad dragon that was only a short time ago a false alarm from a mysterious app with privileges that Alarti only gained after making his 16th sex tape with Eccezan!

Option PMs me in vent when he is ready to take over. I tell him that TMO has 20+ on and they have been sitting there for a few minutes forming groups and clearing. We agree that I cant log off. Option proceeds to log on Option; I send Shinko a tell saying 'I do not know what they are doing here'...and I then see TRAK TRAK TRAK spammed on my screen.

We took the opportunity to rebuff and protector was pulled because someone noted that it had an HCB. I myself was 5 seconds from logging off when protector was pulled. I stood up cause I wanted to random on the HCB. The rest of the time was everyone yelling vent gems like "WHO SENT THAT WHARGAGRHGBGBGLE -50 DKP."

The only groups formed were shamans doing shadoo and bards manasonging the buffers.

So being how lately Fe has beat them on getting the numbers faster for trak lately, tmo decides it would be best to clear juggs and protector so if trak does spawn Fe can engage faster. Option is first on the kill logs of Trak to have aggro. He beat you regardless of your opportune clairvoyance.

The only thing up for dispute at this point is whether or not we had a raid force present that was preparing to engage.

Shinko and I sent the logs to Sirken and Ephi upon request a little earlier. Seeing as these logs show we indeed had over 30 people present while having people at the lair with DA idols to take the first AE and shroom...and seeing as you bum rushed Trak with your 25 people that had been sitting there for 10 minutes only 10 seconds after we engaged, I really hope your time-machine is still functional.

Then again, they may just give you the loot. Being this lucky is all you have left outside of VP.

In the same way, a viable strategy for Trakanon is to have individuals with DA and or DA idols run in to take the initial AE and wait for the banishment while the raid prepares itself to engage. For some reason, however, you think it is viable to intercept Trakanon while this is taking place.

Well I didn't talk to Sirken myself or really discuss it much with my guild, so I don't really know what the issue is here with Trak exactly. I thought at this point though that only sustained engages were considered viable. I thought the disengage thing more applied to like FTE after initial engage DT from Inny or whatever. And on top of that, actually having a force and trying to kill the mob at least a little bit.

Wrong, if your people bum rush and all die hoping that the FTE will carry over, Ephi will most certainly rule that the engage had no merit to actually kill the target. As TMO engaged and killed without anyone from your guild doing so (large time gap for something like this to happen) which means you either thought you lost the FTE or you had no intention of actually engaging.

They've already ruled something similar to this once before (who knows how they will rule it again) but even the encounter logs would show what I just said.
