When will you GMs realize that interfering with the server like this is not what you're around for? Another shady affair, let the server play out stop interfering with shit.
It is a TACTICAL move to rebind your enemy from the tim pots, now you've made it available to rebind in timdeep for EVERYONE ELSE WHO CAN'T and you've tactically fucked over the other side.

Yeah Sirken are you going to make this available to the rest of the server too or was this supposed to be swept under the rug so no one knew?

I cant rely on anything cast says, so it might not be true, but i read that Rushmore was re-bound after he was bound somewhere else by another player.
Im starting to see a pattern though, not a good one, seeing that ninja looting was stated illegal by Sirken in a recent thread.
I think a good rule of thumb on designing server rules and GM intervention would be this:
GM intervention should be the last resort where pvp matters stand. And when they do intervene, they should have clear, logical and explainable reasons why they needed to intervene and be ready to defend their cases in the forums.
The sandbox should be on top of the list of how to handle things as a GM. If a player wants to fuck another player over, then let other players deal with it, as long as 3rd party cheating wasnt involved.
Dont wanna get bound by hostiles? Dont group with randoms.
Theres a reason why eve online lasted so long, its because of the sandbox.
There is not a whole lot of sandbox to EQ, but the little there is, i think should be preserved and encouraged.
Thats why i disliked Amelinda's approach to her events, when she thinks of an event so rigid she has to temp ban someone because he zoned in her event.
There are repercussions to your actions in a game like EQ where it takes so long to level up your character. It makes the game more interesting to have crooks and white knights. By trying to overbear with stuff like making ninja looting illegal, it makes the game more boring.
The GMs should find something better to do with their time then giving themselves tasks to do that restrict what the players cant and can do arbitrarilly.

Undoing retarded pointless grief is a good thing, if you think there is something wrong with a GM undoing meaningless grief I would assume a majority of the server won't miss your presence among us.

Thats why i liked the 2001 halloween event so much. Because it was a sandboxy event. Just put a bunch of event mobs in the world and let the players collaborate/tear each other to pieces over them.
The GMs didnt have to lift a finger for those events, i think thats the sort of things GMs should be thinking of and investing time in, and talking to Rogean about it.
I remember an event where we had to listen to a GM for riddles and shit, and then try to find what they meant in EQ.
An event like this would be cool, like a riddle for clues that leads to a special mob spawned somewhere. Say in a place where we dont usually see alot of, like runnyeye.
I think this is a much better way to spend GM time then policing if joewizard ninja looted a band of intelligence off that level35 ogre boss in Western Karana.

Another example of overbearing rules:
Cant start CT kill cycle to make him attack an enemy guild that is working its way to him.
Instead of letting the players work out how to deal with this, like parting with a group of players to make them camp the entrance, they chose to babysit us and restrict what we can and cant do.

This isnt an attack on Sirken.
I just wish this was the way GMing was handled.
I played a minecraft pvp server and it was lots of fun because this is the approach they took. If you can do it, its legal (unless youre exploiting/cheating)

Ah, the liberal attitude. Always wanting a handout and someone to take care of you. Blue server is the other way. I'm sure you can get your Qeynos Duel Club "pvp" fix there.

Curious as to how Nilbogfeels about this. Seems like a blatant abuse of GM powers. It doesn't say anywhere in the rules you aren't allowed to bind someone without their consent. It is their own fault they grouped with someone unknown. Also I don't see how it is griefing at all. Seems like a sound tactic to not have your enemy be able to port anywhere in the world they want.

Somebody also deleted my thread about a sandbox approach to GMing being better since it gives more options to people of being crooks or white knights.
I guess a mod decided for us if we think rebinding someone somewhere else is griefing or not.
I can see this mod in eve online lol GIVE THIS MAN BACK HIS SPACE STATION, IT WAS GRIEFED!!

Gms just need to ban these fucks who play to simply grief people. Every post by op is server is dead, nihilum cheats, gms corrupt.. Dude why do you still come back to play? Your a lonely doctor that has nothing better to do with his wifi connection in his rolls royce, while your butler drives you around? Just quit, find another server. You willnt be missed.

so this really happened? i don't support this, if you're dumb enough to let yourself get griefed on and bound by someone, it's on you.
Now GM's have to restore binds for all the future upcoming griefs :/

He is annoying. But it does not change that he has a point. Grief is not a mathematical objective thing. It is subjective in this instance for sure where someone stopped a Nihilum cleric from being able to port with ease to help his guild members.

So you guys think people hiding behind lowbie chars to ninja bind someone who just tried to help them.. Is a good way to play this game? Let alone good for a server where new people is wanted and needed?? Only faggots have to play like this.. Instead of trying to rebind someone like a bitch.. Maybe level and kill them instead? But as far as GM assistance I will say sirkin does not just hand people anything.. When party got deleveled it was pretty much on him and we got zero help sooo.. Don't worry you can still grief afks
