I don't know the answers. I search - but 90% of the time I don't understand if it's really the same problem.

If you guys would take turns in there answering questions, one or two people wouldn't be stuck doing it all the time.

I could help but Lord Sirken God of P99 decided, after he wrongfully accused me of something, to extend my 14 day suspention to umm so far it's been 25 day because he said i lied to him. So maybe Sirken can help you guys out, till he bans you for not bowing down and excepting his wrongful judgments.

We actually try to do this over in the tech boards.

I have a fairly extensive FAQ stickied in there, and lyra and I wil often point people to that thread when they ask a common question (this happens a LOT).

Lyra is also really (and i mean really) good at finding answers via the search feature. She is amazing and puts a ton of time into digging for answers for people. she is such a big help and i don't know what i'd do without her :) I'm so glad she showed up! The best part is she always tells people how she found the answer, so that hopefully in the future people will look up the answers themselves (unfortunately, it seems that very few people learn =/ but we try!)

also, bump! tech boards always need as much help as possible! I've been absent from the board for about ~week and lyras been handling the bulk of the load (and doing a great job as always)

probably going to be my final bump, i think at this point everyone who's going to read this thread already has.

just remember that when you contribute to the tech boards, you're helping people enjoy a game you most likely love (or loved back in 99), people who otherwise wouldn't be able to enjoy the experience for whatever reason. This gives you good karma. Also, if you post in the tech boards and help people out, when one day your eq stops working and you need help it will definitely be there. We take care of our own, and i remember the people who help out over in the tech board.

Lastly, remember that we have cookies. lyra will be baking them from now on, and ill be BBQ'ing steak and cheeseburgers. Steak is FCFS. There's also a real, live girl in the tech boards, and she wants YOU bad!.... to help in the tech boards.

I really hope so! it's gotten a *shitload* of views, so it must be serving its purpose. We've had much fewer repeat questions (though it does still happen... i guess those are the people who dont like to read the manual :) )

Which is why we should never teach people this skill. I want to have a job forever!
