Hello everyone,

Are there any merchants that buy at normal prices in Kunark, preferably near The Overthere?

Thanks!

If you're evil you can probably sell for normal prices at the outpost (unless you're a lizard).

There's a vendor at the rock pool type area (near Warslik's) who sells to everyone but her prices aren't great.

Other than that, if you're desperate for a vendor you probably want to bank as well so it might be a case of going to FV (if you're not evil) :p

The only non greedy vendors in kunark are the dwarf in loio, the innkeeper in TD and iksar faction vendors.

The Overthere, unfortunately, are all greedy merchants. Including the Iksar near the mudpits.

Thanks everyone.

Outpost vendors are considered greedy vendors, so are FV.

Greedy vendors purchase items for half price and resell for double the usual price.

From the wiki:-

Greedy Merchants buy items from players at half the price of a standard merchant and sell items to players at twice the price of a standard merchant.

They are typically found near banks, though not always

Well I can definitely say the prices at the OT clockwork vendors for rations, water flasks, milk, etc... normal prices.

They're definitely greedy vendors. If you try to sell a gem or something of that sort to them vs another merchant, you'll see that.

I buy food/drink there but that's it.

Are you guys sure this isn't faction related? If you're apprehensive to the outpost (standard before doing any turn-ins to the Captain) you'll get crappy prices anyway...and most "evil" races have terrible charisma.

Necro'd this thread to ask same question as OP despite conflicting comments.

What is the closest non-greedy vendor in/near Overthere in Kunark?

Charisma doesn't affect prices on the server. It's all based on faction, but, yes, OT vendors are greedy. Strangely, I don't recall the FV ones being greedy on live - I recall spending 20-30pp per level 50+ spell at the good vendors on live, and 40-50 easily per spell in the outpost. Those greedy bastards.

If you are an iksar, it should be the merchants outside the warsliks woods entrance to cabilis. It's only one zone away from OT but i personally hate running through WW..

If you are good or evil (non-iksar) i think the closest place is the dwarf at the loio windmill. As far as I know, he is the only legit merchant available to non-iksar evils on kunark without faction work.

I can say you are definitely wrong.

Pretty sure you're wrong about Cha not affecting prices. It certainly affects the price of Bags of the Tinkerers...

Wrong. The thresholds could be different than live, but you can swap in a Crude Stein and see the prices change.

I thought Klok G`Rshai was non-greedy, by memory - down by the waterhole towards WSW zone. Sadly, some research seems to indicate she has the same prices as tin vendor one in OT outpost :(

Went to The Overthere just after the patch of 11/15/00 and Klok G'rshai is now functional as a merchant, and has also moved from just into the zone from Warsliks Woods to the North, by the waterhole...

Charisma not affecting prices was anecdotal from when I leveled my mage and enchanter. When I was leveling off guards in HK, their dropped FS sold for about 4.7pp per to Tarn Visilin at 150-odd charisma.

They sell for 5.1pp now to my troll SK. He has 45 charisma. Hence my thinking charisma never worked.

The dwarf in the "Windmill" in Lake of Ill Omen (South East corner of zone) is the only "normal" merchant I've found so far. Huge difference in what I get paid for vendor fodder by him compared to OT outpost.
