View Full Version : Apologies

I would simply like to extend my sincere apology to the P99 community for my forum activity as of late.

I'm going through withdrawals, say what you want this post helps me so say what you will. My posts have been ignorant, rude, and unnecessarily argumentative. So I wanted to apologize to anyone who i may offend or who may even care if I'm a bit of an asshole the next few days I am sorry.

Thank you

I did that myself for about 6 months. Was in a new town and didn't have connections for the good stuff, so I said fuck it I'll try it out. It's definitely like weed x10 and feels great, but the low is as strong as the high if you do it too often.

One tip for OP - google Theanine. It's an extract from green tea leaves sold in vitamin/health stores that increases free dopamine in the brain. It's basically what gives green tea it's calming effect and mitigates the caffeine in it. Taper down from ~500-700mg over a month and your brain will be back to normal. Exercise also accelerates withdrawal recovery.

maybe try foods that have naturally occurring cannabinoids in them, like a bar of really dark chocolate.

also, maybe hemp milk would help the physical side of the withdrawals. hemp milk doesn't have anything that crosses the blood-brain barrier to get you mentally high, but it might help with the peripheral withdrawal effects.

It does. It also has permanent detrimental effects on the brain, though you'll deny that as well. It's ok I don't blame you for sticking to your guns, I'm just not afraid to point out where people are wrong.

Somebody isn't keeping up with modern research, now that it is actually being done.

The latest review, published in Philosophical Transactions of the Royal Society B, suggests that activating the brain’s cannabinoid system may trigger a sort of anti-oxidant cleanse, removing damaged cells and improving the efficiency of the mitochrondria, the energy source that powers cells, ultimately leading to a more robustly functioning brain.

Previous studies have linked cannabinoids to increased amounts of brain-derived neurotrophic factor (BDNF), a substance that protects brain cells and promotes the growth of new ones. Since new cell growth slows or stops during aging, increasing BDNF could potentially slow the decline in cognitive functions.

I'm actually referring to THC's effect on the brain's ability to process dopamine, which is irreversible. Nice try though.

When I quit weed I couldn't sleep right for a few weeks, because I always smoked before bed. I also felt a bit slower cognitively while smoking; one could translate that to 'a bit dumber' and I would agree with that. Science or not, I felt slower smoking weed than not.

Hailto
02-19-2013, 03:20 AM
Of course you feel "slower" while stoned, its a drug, we aren't talking about some pill from a Hollywood movie like limitless. That doesn't mean it permanently fucks you up, it means you're high at the time.

Rekrul
02-19-2013, 03:31 AM
I meant while I was using weed period; all the time frames in between. Whether or not it " permanently fucks you up" is an irrelevant point to me, considering I wasn't responding to that. If you want to abstract my point to it's extreme I would say that smoking weed everyday would make you dumber everyday, and that's only conceived from anecdotal evidence, not anything else.

It's amusing to watch the stoners defend their weed smoking habit, always citing the medicinal properties and ignoring the side-effects. It's no different then watching the religious go on and on whenever the slightest inconsistancy is brought up.

Even cyanide has medicinal properties. We don't care.

Not much of anything has been proven. The uselessly ignorant types such as yourself make discussions pointlessly difficult, though I would concede that having this discussion in this forum is beyond futile.

I dont think most people realize how potent/addictive JWH and all the others are. The people who got bad on that shit (like my self at one point) we didnt just smoke a little weed with our friends. were drug addicts. Weed doesnt really cut it. But im past that shit and like the PM, more power to you man, its hard to get over and the withdrawals suck especially the being sick all the time but it does stop

Only smoked it in Amsterdam, never at home... its awesome, but I'd hate to get into a habit of smoking daily. The answer to that? More trips to Amsterdam! (cheap from here)

Hey Rhambuk,

First of all, I haven't noticed any rude message from you in the forum although I can't say I've been spying on you either so no offense from me here.

I can only say you are brave to do this. I appreciate you do it as part of your "therapy" ("" as I'm not sure if you have a proper therapy or ust do it yourself but that's beside the point) but it is pretty courageous to open oneself like this on the internet where the community is know to be easily unforgiving.

I admit I'm a user of weed, not so much now but I used to use it every day. I am much more happy now that I smoke once in a while instead of daily: I enjoy life much more this way. Now you seem to have reached a pretty dire point if you stole from friends ... and I can only encourage you to get rid of the shit so you can take ownership of your life again.

On a side note, I believe that what makes you high in Spice are the chemicals they vaporise on the plants that try to mimic the effect of THC. Based on this, it is tempting to compare them both although I doubt this would be a "honest" thing to do unless a chemist says it.

You seem to be holding the right side of the stick, keep up the good work :)

Good luck OP, knew that stuff was terrible.

All I can say about "THC withdrawal" is that I have smoked off and on since high school and never experienced anything resembling physical withdrawal.
