I've been trying to keep watch for them, hoping they'd answer my petition, yet its been four days. I've petitioned early morning, early afternoon, beginning of the night, middle of the night, on the forums... Its been four days nonstop and my body is about to rot, wherever the hell it is. PLEASE, for the sake of trollmanity, log on and please help me get my stuff back, considering it was a bug that took it all from me in the first place. I am growing entirely impatient... and I think for good reason.

Cool, I was actually concerned about that. Thought I read something somewhere about them not doing restoration, but considering the only reason why I came back was to play with an irl friend with that toon, there is nothing I can do but either start over or wait for a response... It never took this long before...

Well, I logged on to find my character at level 1 in enemy territory instead of its normal, tried getting an escort to at least a noobie area where I can fix the bug myself but got insta-slayed by the first mob that agg'd me. So now I'm stuck zones and zones away, at level 1, with none of my spells at my disposal. If they can log on and give me my level back, I'll handle the rest. I don't even care for a rez, I just want to be able to get to my body PERIOD, not safely, not instantly, PERIOD.

But by the looks of it, my body would be gone by the time they reply.

First, bodies don't perma rot on this server.
Second, your petition doesn't disappear when you log.
Third, posting in the petition subforum is probably the best way to get this addressed. You will need to post as much information as you can. What caused you to delevel to 1, where did you die, where you are now, character name, etc. Petition forum allows them to stay in touch even if you can't be online.
Fourth, Constant re-petitioning doesn't help as guides/GMs have to look at each new ticket and delete it by hand, and if you aren't online they can't talk to you obviously.

If you follow up with your petition on the forum, and it was a legit issue and/or body rotted, then they can repop the corpse and likely summon it to where you are camped out.

And it is actually the second time it has happened to me... When it happened to my main, I was luckily in Freeport and not sebilis or some shit...

I went, stabbed a lower level mob and bam, dinged from level 1 to 50, but it took away all of my previous level experience. Tried doing it this time as well because I waited hours for a reply with none, figured I'd do it myself... Being that this toon is only 15 I can care less about the surplus xp that'd be missing, I just want my levels back so I can get on with my life and actually start enjoying this emulator again with my friend... 2 days after I come back and this... Its definitely inspiring.


Also I've set up my petition in the forums days ago.. No reply, no fix, no response to my ingame petitions, cause I sent two of them thinking they'd disappear. And I promise you, I gave them all of the information I know on it. I didn't leave out any details.

Its true, the first time around I had a friend actually tell me to do it because it happened to him and a few others as well. Thankfully he did, otherwise I'd have had to wait days to play my main, again, it seems.

Now I had saw people were having trouble with the zone that the bug hit me in, maybe it has something to do with it... but honestly, other than some kind of faulty coding on logging out, I can't think of why it would happen... I logged him off and onto another char for a while that night, and he stayed as a 15 that night before I got offline, next day, he was level 1 in my char select screen so it had to happen either during my char login process, or while I was offline and the zone was having a reboot issue... I'm no programmer, but I'd gladly give all details I remember to anyone who'd be able to figure out where the problem keeps arising... Its a pretty messed up bug, especially if it would happen to a higher level in a locked in place such as VP, Seb, droga, etc...

Seems potentially serious, and if fixed, it'd prolly save them a lot of time on the petition scales.

sounds like a database update error or a db relation isn't properly linked. If they patched certain values in a zone table or however they have it organized, it could cause a link between two tables to become severed which would be why you would need to get the single point of XP to cause the update which returns all the xp your character has. Don't quote me since this is all speculation as I don't have access to their code. :P

Hah, no sweat.. Until one of those elusive GMs get involved, all we can do is discuss possibility and theory... Now how long would it take for them to do so? That is the question I've been asking almost all week.

I find that the more you ask for help on an issue or if you do it incorrectly or impolitely, then you generally see less attention. Other than that, they will get to the issue when they get to it. That is all I got :(

That is understandable, though... but I will keep asking for help considering I won't be playing until it is at least fixed for my char. I don't mind being polite, which I have been, but honestly... I just haven't seen them log on whatsoever lately and I've been watching... It seems like its more or less them focusing on getting the velious coding done and leaving those of us who have been around for a couple years behind to deal with our problems on our own. I was hoping more or less the fact that I have been dedicated to helping fix issues ingame, reporting bugs, helping new players, bringing new players in, that it wouldn't have been a question of them ignoring me because I asked in a few different ways. I am starting to get pretty upset, and I can't help but not blame myself for it. Especially knowing I wasn't the only one having this problem. It should be easy for them to fix it, and easy for them to understand what happened considering its happened to so many people, including myself in the past.

Negative, homie. The bug is a bug in all actuality that needs to get fixed by the server gods. Like I said previously, it's happened to me before and was fixed by getting that one kill, but at level one, its hard to find that bound in a level 30 zone with everything KoS and far far away from any noob areas I am myself not KoS in... Otherwise I would have found my way there, leveled back up, and retrieved my body without needing to wait on these guys to finish whatever it is they are doing these past four days.

Both work but I guarantee the second one makes it easier for the GM to read, comprehend and respond.
