I seemed to be able to carry up to 18.9 stones at lvl 53 before suffering any AC reduction. The latest patch notes saying anything about the allowance are from almost two years ago and state the weight allowance does not go up until lvl 55. Is the AC inventory calc broken.... was there a patch changing when the allowance would increase that I missed..... is something else happening? Anyone with an answer feel free to chime in. At lvl 54 I'm still only able to carry 18.9 before losing AC.

The information here (http://wiki.project1999.org/Monk#Weight_Penalty_Guide) ("as of the 8/13/2011 patch...") is current: the weight limit is 14.9 up through level 54, then 18.9 up through 59, and finally 22.9 at 60. The patch notes at the time stated that the game's UI does not correctly reflect the actual AC regarding these changes, so just because you don't seem to lose AC according to the UI does not mean you actually are not losing AC.

seriously?!

can anyone confirm the weight limit is indeed 14.9 upto and including 54?

I've currently been at 18 stone and if this is true - i'm taking a 4 stone hit - UNCOOL!

I'm just curious as to the usage of "stone" as a measure of weight. In medieval times, which EQ was roughly based, a "stone" was considered 20lbs. However, EQ assumes each point is a single pound.

We still use stones here as a weight measurement in the UK, despite those fatcats in Brussels telling us we have to use kilograms for weight, metres for length and litres for liquids. (better in stones, feet/inches and pints)

1 stone = 14lbs = 6.35kg

I heard it was 20, but that was a long time ago so I probably misheard. But still, 255 stone weight capacity is being able to lift and carry 3570lbs easily. Some weapons themselves are 10 and that's a one hander.

Halas 10lb Meat Pie weighs 7.2 whatevers

So.... the numbers we see on the UI are 1/10 of a stone (14 lbs). Something like Blade of Xalgoz that has a WT of 10.0 means it weighs 1 RL stone or 14 lbs. This is still considerably heavy considering the average Medieval sword only weighed between 3-5 lbs (at least the ones that were actually being used).
