We're not all preteens anymore. We don't have 12+hours a day to grind xp, so if someone wants to purchase a char with Plat that hes farmed stop QQing

I just think it's horseshit that accounts go for so little. WTF, I'm going to trade my character that I spent 10+ days of ingame time on for an amount of plat that would take max 3-4 days of ingame time?

Deal is fucking bunk if you ask me.

It's the principle of the matter really. It's largely first character players who are selling their accounts to established players, they think they're getting an awesome amount of platinum but really they're just getting fucked over by greedy assholes.

what I'm saying is this--Say I'm offering 40k for a level 50 stripped character. How long did it take to level that character to 50?

At least 10 days played time, if not more.

10 * 24 = 240 hours of IN GAME time spent levelling this character.

Most casters and even some melee can make upwards of 1k an hour.

40k / 1k = 40 hours of IN GAME time spent farming the platinum for that character.

Shit the high level farmer could offer twice as much and still be getting a good deal.

This is similar to taking advantage of tribes in Africa to farm gold for greedy multinational corporations.

They *think* they're getting a good deal because 1) they have no other options 2) they don't have complete information

Well, most people selling accounts also just get bored of that character and already have an alt to play.

I wish I could take my mage off of my Paladin account and sell him off for some return. Of course I took more time leveling it than what I could have made in equivalent hours farming, but at least it's something.

Not everyone is getting ripped off.
