lol

Sorry guys, I forget you spend 40 hours a week invested into shit like this. Wasn't aware the game releases in two days. :P

That being said, it does look fucking sweet no matter how unfortunate it is that it's only a PS3 release at the moment. Not to mention I'm not sure how well latency will play out in an FPS that is single-server hosted.

were you born in 93 or did you just pick a random number for a username?

Mandalore93 05-12-2013 05:46 AM

The former. Sadly I didn't start to discover fresh air until I was about 16. I actually started playing EQ1 when I was like 8.

so do u play eve dude? dust is aite but its still just another fps (altho it does have a cool skill system like EVE)

Mandalore93 05-12-2013 06:11 AM

No, I don't really have the time to invest into a game like EVE. Definitely seems to be the type of game where you can't really compete unless you devote huge chunks of time to it. But that's the case with pretty much every MMO.

I personally really enjoy FPSes, especially competing in them although I haven't done that since CoD4 was the big boy in circuit and that was quite a few years ago. I did enjoy the huge battles in PS2 and I really hope Dust can bring that sort of vibe.

actually eve is quite the opposite, skills (i guess the equivilient or levels) are gained in realtime whether logged on or off. there is no poop socking or speeding up the process really. everything has a counter and skill is > skill points (levels.) a 2 day old char in a frigate (smallest ship) can killing a 7 year vet in a battleship (pretty big ship.)

Haha, yes but my "want to play video games" time per week is maybe 3-5 hours, so I wouldn't be any further behind in skills, but ISK would certainly be a hassle to collect unless I had a fix on the market, I'd be guessing.
