PvP people have a *lot* more options to make this thread interesting than bluebies.

Not sure if it's the worst, but I remember one time doing fire giants in two groups, I went to refresh pack choloropast, and accidentally hit the wrong purple spell. The other group was a little surprised when half of us were wisked away to lavastorm just as we engaged Warlord Skarlon.

One friday the mage and I and a couple of other friends decided to spice things up in the EC tunnel, which was packed. We fired one of these things off right smack in the middle of the tunnel between shady and the entrance. And logged the hell out....I think it even killed the mage first. LOL

Came back 5 mins later to witness the mayhem. Complete carnage. I mean literally the entire tunnel was cleared out. LOL And the spam in open channels was priceless.

We had a good laugh, but felt so bad that we all called our guilds in to come help whack these pets and help with rezzes, etc. Without admitting to anything of course. We just came to "help." :P

Pumice Stones would do that. Kinda ticked me off, being on a PvP server. Couldn't use em without losing control of my pet.

Reading this thread, I wonder why so many are against PvP. People causing trains got handled on Tallon Zek and got put on a KoS list by just about everyone. We policed that shit really well.

I don't see how a lot of these are PvP mishaps. I'm reading a lot of "I scammed this person out of ____" or "I caused trains/made people unable to kill certain mobs" or "I left people for dead in ____ zone".

Vallon was like that too. TBH at first I didn't care for the PvP, but after a while I did.

I think the 'against PvP' attitude in general comes from the attitude of *some* PvP'ers who do their worst to rub it in. That or arrogant griefing, etc.

Of course - those that don't like it - try sometime on some MMO with an open mind. You don't have to be a jerk to do well in PvP. And there's nothing... better... than rubbing some prick's face into the ground, or watching a group or two do it, lol.

Cured were you a GM back in the day?

No...it's just the community was pretty tight knit. If a player from one side started pulling lame tactics, there'd be a post on the server forums about it, there'd be guild chat about it, and in a lot of cases these players were ostracized. They'd lose their guild membership, hell the burn notice they got would mean nobody would have a problem if a wronged party (or their guild) corpse camped them for a few hours. Players really enjoyed their freedom in the game and if they wanted to keep it, they had to not act up. That isn't to say it never happened but the people who pulled lame shit regularly got their playing freedom taken away from them. Ever had an enemy start trains on you then laugh in /ooc or /shout about it and later on you found their bind spot? Yeah, some of life's little pleasures in the game weren't spent killing NPCs.

I looted a SBH one day from that orc in Highpass (oh man I need to hunt there again!). I lied about it to the group I was in and gave it to a guildie.

That was the only bad thing I did.

I mean I trained griffons on people and stuff, but only when they started it :)

To a server where 90 percent of the population is below 30, that was a nice friggin weapon =)
