The Handmaiden's TALE (not "tail") is about a complete government takeover from the perspective of a woman whose job is to basically just make babies. They took away everyone's jobs, electronics, GUNS!, religious freedoms, and basically all rights and material possessions. They ration out food. That sounds EXACTLY what the alt-right wants! I'm still going through Arthur c Clarke before I switch to the guy who wrote blood meridian. Also, I do an obligatory run through of the Tolkien canon every year or so. The silmarillion is a masterpiece
