North Korea is tricky.

Our country can't stomach war. Our military can. Our country can't though. We're too sheltered and weak. We haven't really experienced total war since World War 2.

The type of campaign needed to crush North Korea cleanly would be bloody and ruthless.

We wouldn't be able to pussy foot around and show the world we're "Peace keepers".

Also, China gets massively paranoid when our armies march around their border.

For those reasons, I think all out war isn't an option.

We need more intel and diplomacy.

We need to find out what really is going on there and who supports us more. Kim Jong Un or the rest of the government?

Then we need to play that side. A coup would probably be too messy. Maybe broker some sort of bipartisan reunification deal between SK and NK. Blame the camps on some dead general and sweep history under the rug.

Then stop subsidizing defense on the peninsula and bring our military home.

I think this is the reality of what is going to happen. Sadly.

But it is why trump does deserve the Nobel Peace prize.

This is inaccurate. Most of our WW2 generals advised against using nukes because Japan was about to surrender. General Leahy had already overseen what he called a "terror bombing" campaign which had killed an estimated half a million Japanese civilians before the nukes were dropped.

We dropped the nukes because we wanted to see what they would do in a real military situation.

We are also hypocrites to be wagging our finger at war crimes.

The ability that the left has to say that america is as bad as ANY other ruthless dictatorship is classic communist proppaganda.

The idea that you think that 3rd world countries run by a dictator would be better off being brutally murdered by that dictator, than it is by american involvemnet in any way shape or form is classic fake news that you were raised on and is why you and your entire political half of the country cant figure out how to A run a country or B do ANY of the things your politicians promise you they'll do.
