America has a really weird crazy problem. No one wants to hold responsibility and because of individual freedom, it's wrong to remove peoples rights and responsibilities, and this is seen as very harsh and evil.
I mean, this all ties back into, our sort of massive, prison system.
I think we need to find a way to re-rehabilitate people to a point where they can have reasonably better lives if they choose too.
But like, we can't eliminate peoples suffering. We could put every schizophrenic depressed outlier in a safe cell and feed them exactly the # of calories they need and give them books and crayons, and these people will mostly still suffer tremendously no matter what we try to do for them.
The argument could be made that we as a society create classes of people who suffer unnecessarily due to environmental pollution, or simple greed. Families care less about each-other, and I think part of this is because everyone is turning into a paranoid schizophrenic to a degree where everyone just thinks the world is out to get them, or that someone else owes them something. These are the vocal people who are running up huge credit debt, and living off credit cards instead of savings. And I see both democrats and republicans doing this. It would have been unheard of 70 years ago for someone to run up $20,000 in debt and do stuff like sit around watching netflix for months on end. Yet this is kinda commonplace now. It seems like this will all eventually come to a head, because I don't see a gentle solution either. I wish there was, but don't.
Debtors prison isn't a proper solution. But, maybe, we need to cut the netflix off, and get these people woke. Some how. And make it illegal to open up lines of credit debt, or make usury illegal. They can still grow and cook their own food, they just refuse to.
There are too many older people, over 50+ in America that relied on social security, and decided to go into massive debt, and never got out, or got ground up in Vietnam, or became extremely obese at 400lb, it's too late for these people to restart and have super long healthy lives, and maybe go out peacefully, or gently, but they deserve something better than a bullet and a gutter perhaps. Everyone has their own reasons, but the bell is tolling within the next 20 years for these people, who where a significant portion of our economy and enabled the massive inflation we are seeing.
