I think you didn't understand what I was getting at Pat. I said I was pro free speech. I don't agree with such restrictions. However a lot of people misunderstand the concept. Whether because 'freedom of speech' is an inaccurate phrase to describe the concept, or because it's the 1st Amendment and somehow that makes it the paramount principle? I don't know, but there are laws which supercede it. Freedom of speech does not mean it's legal to threaten or harass others under that guise. And not all speech is 'free'. Try shouting 'fire' in a theatre or 'bomb' in an airplane and see what happens.

Anyways because the concept is commonly misunderstood, a lot of the worst kinds of behavior in others are brought out by people like Alex Jones. And we tolerate those sorts of action far more than we should. But hey we're a society that's just now persecuting real life sex crimes with seriousness. I imagine coming around to crimes like internet death threats, stalking, luring, preying will take some time yet.

The New Testament should be legislated at gun point. The Mormons should rule. Excepting that, classical liberalism is the best we can do. Twitter can ban whoever by the way, but that isn’t how you fight Alex Jones. Only church and a solid school system + two parent households + hot blondes can bring back the old days of reason. There's a reason for the "DO NOT SWALLOW" poison warning posted on every tube of toothpaste. It has something to do with fluoride being more toxic than lead and arsenic.
