No.

Was one of the reasons I like Rand Paul so much, he called BS on it from the start, while all the progressive and RINO establishment elites cheered for such a great step fwd for peace in our time... and a nuclear armed Iran. No, just like I said, bookmark that post, there will be war, just not in the way that you are thinking. That was the establishment/global elites plan to outright invade Iran (and Russia), but just aint going to happen now.

Diplomacy first. Sanctions, or even surgical strikes as happens in the middle-east on nuclear programs, though I think it be too late for any such strikes. I mean they are so dug in and defended you'd need to turn the sand to glass to even come close.

War is inevitable, and likely sooner than we may think, but only when they show themselves in a vulnerable position, as they ready for a full blown assault. And Iran will do it, they are Shia Muslims. It's mandated for them so to bring up their Muad'Dib from the well.

Why do you think that?

Because there was this scorpion at the bank of a river. The scorpion looked up and saw a bird. The scorpion called to the bird "hey bird! give me a ride to the other side of the river!". The bird laughed and said "no! you'll sting me, scorpion". The scorpion said "Oh no way! I swear I won't sing you, bird, I just want to meet with my family on the other side!". The bird thought to himself for a moment and said "ok I will give you a ride to the other side of the river, scorpion".

Half-way across the river, the scorpion stung the bird. As they fell out of the sky together towards the middle of the river, the bird said to the scorpion "WHY DID YOU STING ME, NOW WE WILL BOTH DIE IN THE RIVER!". The scorpion responded "because I'm a scorpion".

here's my theory: global politics is way too complicated to be summarized by animal puns

Yes! 100% correct, this story originated from the middle-east and is mostly said to describe the situation there. I'm glad you recognized that, you must have gotten the info from this https://youtu.be/9kAEoCHANYY

Can't do a war without public support. The public continues to be highly suspicious of war.

There certainly isn't a lot of evidence that anyone is cool with going to war with Russia. You know -- the world's second biggest nuclear power.

Even when it comes to killing Muslims in the dessert there is little patience. I don't have a crystal ball when it comes to what might happen hundreds of years from now. But I doubt within Trump's tenure he will get any public support for big conflict.

His best bet is North Korea. There has always been a good case for a war with North Korea and then letting South Korea take over the rebuilding/democratizing aspect of the whole thing. But Trump is so unpopular, the public probably wouldn't even trust him with that one.

You learn that watching MTV? >.>

Sell the crystal ball, buy a white flag to carry around with you as you crawl through life with your eyes wide shut and fingers in your ears. Maybe they'll spare you...
prolly not :o

So it'll be a continuation of diplomacy from the Trump administrstion set up by the Obama administration by to prevent war that'll inevitably lead to war because of fate or whomever was the scorpion in the fable?
Who or what was the scorpion representing?
