Well Mick, most people are fucking idiots. Anyone who cedes their intellectual sovereignty to ideology is an idiot. Intelligent liberals are not so different from intelligent conservatives and there is merit throughout the political spectrum.

Unfortunately humans are imperfect creatures and life experience as well as circumstance and natural inclination tend to pervert reason no matter how smart we think we are. Even when we acknowledge reason, many of us refuse to embrace it because it hurts us in one way or another. Whether it threatens our faith or imposes more responsibility upon us than we wish to bear or questions our motives, at the end of the day we reject it because we are feeling creatures. We embrace our animalistic roots and ignore the very thing that makes us unique: the ability t ignore carnal impulse in favor of reason.

There are many liberals who do not subscribe to cultural Marxism just as there are many conservatives who do not subscribe to theocentric lifestyle. Just because those peoples do exist or are even majorities within their respective ideologies does not mean all adherents of those ideologies are any more stupid than anyone embracing any other ideology ^^ ideology is stupid.
