Also: I think it's interesting how conservatives successfully made liberal a dirty word for decades, but have recently co-opted the term "classical liberal." Seems like a clever move to bring in disenfranchised liberals whose allegiance lies more with individual liberty and less with left social/economic ideas.

It's only like that in the US.

The leftists in the 60s were nicknamed 'Liberals' and it stuck.

The truth is, both Left and Right (in the US) are Liberals. 'Conservative' is short for 'Conservative Liberal'.

Free speech, gun rights, religious freedoms, economic freedoms, etc are all Liberal.

I think its very funny that Soros saw season 7 of TWD and how they used that giant hoard to defeat Negan.. and then he relized he could do that to america with Mexico

That's true. I think most Americans on both the left and the right agree on some basic liberal principals.

That seems like a stretch. Conservatism seems to be a reaction against excessive liberalism, advocating caution and tradition in response to bold new proposals.

Absolutely agree.

Hahaha.

Really though, I wonder how many morons believe garbage like this. Good meme though.

It's not a stretch.

That's literally what their proper name is.

But they are how you describe them. They're conservative about liberalism.

There is economic liberalism (free market capitalism) and political liberalism (really just degrees of progressive). They are not the same.
