Maybe it's damage shield that's been triggering guards to attack?

I need to do some tests

The guards assist the player who has highest faction. The player with low faction does nothing and still gets attacked by guards. This is wrong.
So the guards assist the attacker in this case and thats really really bad.
Guards should assist and help players with high faction if they are being attacked.

I've already tested DS triggering guards attacking and it does not. It was probably a riposte.

I personally rarely get myself in a situation where melees can hit me, so i haven't been "assisted on" by guards unless i've nuked back.

But almost everyone i play with keep saying that guards are indeed assisting the attacker without them attacking back, which if true is really bad and needs to be fixed.

Will do tests tonight hopefully and confirm that someone is bad and just wrong

Unfortunately, the way it's currently set up a riposte would count as an attack.

I can look at changing that when I get back in town, but it might not be trivial to do.
