Aggroing Tunare did not technically aggro the rest of the Plane.

Aggroing Tunare caused almost all of the NPCs in the zone to path to a specific location - which is something different than aggro. Of course if they got there, they would then assist Tunare. You can confirm this is true by aggroing Tunare then FDing.

If thats true then is it the rooted tunare causing mini bosses to run to rooted spot (and minions of mini bosses if mini boss of that type is up)?

Give the PoG's death touch. Put moar bixies in game. They also should be given death touch.

in seriousness, I never remember people not clearing the zone, not for armor drops but because of some mechanism of zone wide butthurt. It was not practical.

I also am not sure if she even was aggro?

The only one I remember was a giant one in the open. We would clear the entire zone and then engage her out in the open. I hardly remember her loot table or the encounter but i remember killing and tanking her from time time. I was 13 give me a break !

I'm not sure of the actual code on whether Tunare is calling the mini-bosses to a location and then the mini-bosses calling their minions.

What I do know is that if you aggro Tunare and then immediately FD, the vast majority of the zone will still path to her location - not just the minis.

The distinction between aggro and calling is pretty large though. Not to mention, it takes a very long time for the entire zone to reach that point. You're basically just temporarily interrupting their pathing by setting a destination. When the mobs do hit that destination, they path back to the spot where their original pathing was interrupted (provided that they do not proximity aggro someone).

I didn't kill her until Luclin though, so I'm not exactly sure how earlier incarnations of her functioned.
I should clarify - By earlier incarnations, I'm talking specifically about FoH's kill. Afterlife had killed the perma-rooted version.

Didn't go so well, but was fun seeing 60 wolves attack her (they had the druids cast share wolf form as their contribution for the fight).

Later, post Luclin, we killed her in her rooted form out on the battlefield with ogre/troll walls to stop the knockback.

Not sure which we'll go with, they all have benefits and detriments. The rooted level 70 version with knockback was stiff, but the pullable level 66 version had it's difficulties as well. Would be nice to get her difficulty on par with what it was 'at time', but with the limitations of the combat still I don't think that'll be possible.

I'd hope to tie them to the Tunare 'version'. Day zero loot sucked, Timeline loot stretched into Luclin and were slightly overpowered, but she was a slightly overpowered whore too.

No one really did, first few times she was killed she loaded no loot or the corpse poofed on death lol.

Version 4 was the 'real' first version, version 2 was 'kitable', version 3 was the one that spawned rooted in the field. Those will be the ones we'll decide between. But scripting some of the bugs like beating her bear to death might be fun.*

*No development will be wasted on 'fun'.

BLADE OF CARNAGE! LONG LIVE THE REBELLION!

I remember having to clear the plane + kill the 2 puma things (pain in the ass since one silenced and the other had a DD AE) and then engaging tunare last. However, I predict that on p99 it's going to go down similar to how CT does. Should be fun.
