I used to play on Rallos Zek, and ended up involving my guild in a war with a rival group called 'The Begotten'.
I played a druid up through Velious, and a buddy of mine played a wizard. We used to follow each other around and kite crap, killing this and that, and had heard of a few dealings of poor nature with this particular group.
Running through Skyfire one day, I notice an awful lot of them in the zone, so we track them down and find out that they're killing Ragefire after their cleric had camped the full 7 days for him.
Knowing just how PBAOE's worked for the two of us, we found a particularly high cliff, levitated, ran up it, and waited for them to finish the kill. Now, remember that back in the day, dragons were a force to be reckoned with, and even the tightest knit of folks could barely squeak by.
Anyhow, the vast majority of their raid ends up getting eaten, but they, miraculously, down him. The remaining 8 or so were huddled around a few bards who were singing it up to heal and regen mana, so they could resurrect the very cleric that camped Ragefire. My friend and I ran high over their raid, and AoE'd the group down from on high, since for whatever reason, that spell had a an X and Y axis figured out, but Z (high to low) was infinite. We polish off the raidforce and those freshly rezzed, and I go down to discover...the heart's still on him.
Wizard ports away and grabs a guildie of mine who needed it, ported him in, ran him over and looted it. One Ragefire heart, for a grand total of ten minute spent in the zone, while I was fending the naked returnee's of the raid off with the occasional nuke.
The cleric from The Begotten petitioned a GM about it, and reported all three of us.
GM : "My, that does suck. Kill him? You tried? Failed? Outt'a my hands then."
