Shit I remember this too!

I do recall different rainfall emotes... I just can't find any evidence. Old Karana fan pages needed!

The for-sure list is:

• It begins to rain.
• It begins to snow.
• It begins to rain blood.

Bump for rain frequency annoyance.

Is this fixed?

I'll run a parse tonight, still figuring a good way to weed out all the annoying SPDAT messages.

Forgot I had some files here, did some quick searches... only saw the rain / snow messages. Didn't see any rain messages in Desert of Ro's. Was disappointed no rain messages were logged in Plane of Fear, it was like a 25 min log of it, and the only time I saw him in that zone.

You should do the reverse - message that says "It stopped raining."

It'll be hard to test though because it doesn't stop raining.

I modified the program to only log results when in the Karanas and found no messages of different rainfall emotes other than 'It begins to rain'.

So does not appear that was ever a thing in era, but who knows if there are other explanations? Perhaps there was some kind of 'tripwire' somewhere in the zone where mccoy didn't run through that would trigger the flavor text, or maybe memories of the emotes were for special GM events like Karana Plague or Halloween events.

Either way, did not find evidence.

Mr. Nilbog, any other data you need on rain / snow stuffs? Such as start / stop times per zone or something?

My very fallible memory insists that NRo saw rain. I did spend time there farming silk while leveling alts back in the day (Raw Silk gear was popular when it was new.) As I recall it rain was infrequent and short duration, but not absent. My logs are long gone tho (along with the EQAtlas pdf I paid for /mourn.)
