So I made a Iksar Monk ...

I was not sure if it was such a good idea, after reading most of the action seems to happen at and around the Freeport area.

Much to my surprise I have been in multiple groups (mostly 2-4 man groups) for 2 days now and I am only level 8!

Such an extremely positive experience, I am sure to stick around for a while.

Speaking of such things, could anyone here suggest a guild to me? I went into the Guid Recruitment section and just didn't know where to begin. I am a few hours per day semi-casual player that is looking for group oriented content. I don't care much about raiding, but if it happens, great!

Also, any suggestions on making some cash? I have like 5 stacks of bone chips, 2 stacks of Spiderling Silk, and maybe 1 stack of Spider Silk .. Should I take them to EC and try to make enough for some newbie monk weapons?

In regards to selling the bone chips, sometimes higher level necros stop by kurns and buy lots of bone chips from the newbies there. When I was in kurns on my newbie necro a few months ago I was able to sell them for upwards of 10pp a stack if the buyer was eager.

In terms of looking for a group oriented guild, try a /who all defiance

My necro's name is Borogovia and I joined the guild and it has been a small, but growing group of nice casual players who are available to group/help and such.

Most of the players are 20+ but we're growing and people do make alts :)

1-2k seems like a lot, bone chips and HQ pelts still the way to go for newbies?

Bone chips are fantastic for money. On faydwer cb belts/pads of course, but as a monk the weight makes that difficult. Unfortunately I never experienced low levels in kunark, so I cannot provide more specific information :/
